In the first example you have the minimum edge set too high and the second is just because shoving AJo with a 10BB stack into 8 people isn't that great (again the minimum edge is far too high and that's why it's telling you {KK+} only).

Hey,

I play on a Mac but I want to be able to boot into windows and examine my hand histories after a session. Is there anything that I can do to my Pokerstars hand histories to make them 'readable' by SNGwiz?

Thanks in advance,

TT

Send me a hand history and I will investigate.

Has anyone else had trouble importing hand histories since that Full Tilt update?

why same call and push range let's say for example top 40% contains different hands? If i must push top 40 i have to push 22+ A2+ K3+ K2s+ Q8+ Q7s+ JT J9s+T9s 98s while if i have to call top 40 hand ranges includes these different hands: 22+,A2o+,K3o+,Q9o+,JTo,A2s+,K2s+,Q5s+,J8s+,T9s

They are readable by SNG Wiz, they are a cross-platform, simple text file. I have a mac. And use Windows through Boot Camp. What I did was get Macdrive for Windows, it allows you to access your Mac partition while in the Windows environment. Once you have that program it mounts your Mac partition as a drive and you can direct SNG Wiz to the proper folder.

Another option I suppose is to keep your hand histories on an external drive and format the drive to a cross platform compatibility.

edit: or you can just play poker in Windows. I love mac and still play poker with the mac, but it's getting increasingly annoying. The only good HUD out there is Poker Co-pilot, but it falls very short compared to HEM and PT. And in Windows people have created all kinds of cool scripts to make poker playing easier.

Did you send me a hand history that you are having trouble importing?

I'm demoing SNG Wizard and want to train for hyper-turbo satellites. What SNG settings should I use?

SNG Wizard doesn't have a hyper-turbo so I've been using the DoN profile since the hyper-turbos have a flat payout structure (tickets to the next tournament).

I've decided to get serious about learning and improving and I realize I can't do this without sngwiz, but I play on a mac. Does anyone know if I can play on the mac software, save the hh's on the mac side, but have access to those hh's if i dual boot windows using boot camp, and run sngwiz on that side?

Anyone out there doing this?

If you cannot find a tournament structure that matches a hyper-turbo, you can create a structure yourself. See "User defined tournament structures" in the help for details.

Do not use a payout structure that is close, but different. The calculations are only valid if you have the correct payout structure.

I do not know the details, but I do know that several Mac users are running the Wizard on Windows emulators like Boot Camp.

The payouts of the hyper-turbo satellites are tickets to the next tournament. These tickets can be refunded for a fixed amount of tournament dollars (e.g. T$ 11). Whether the hyper-turbo pays 1/2 of the field or 1/3 of the field is not particularly relevant though, right? Just the fact that the payout structure is flat and I'm a certain distance from the bubble?

Of course I can give the manual structure thingie a try too.

The payout structure is relevant. If the tournament gives 2 tickets to the next tournament, you should have 2 payouts of 50%. If it gives 3 tickets, you should 3 payouts of 33%.

The software will say I made the wrong decision, but I don't understand why. Where do I go to find out why what I did was wrong? I know it's -Ev but why is it -Ev?

I am trying to work on my calling ranges in DoNs late game, and every single thing I try in the quiz says to adjust it its too specific. I have widened it so much to be only calling in the BB and that still says its too specific.

I have no idea how to get this set up to help me.

I usually 12-table and occasionally look up some hands I'm not sure about (thank god for the auto time button clicker), which is a great learning experience.
How do you do this? Do U have 2 computers? how is it possible for you to repeat the sitiuation so quickly in Sng Wiz?

i posted this in the sitngowiz support forums, hopefully i'll get a reply soon. Was wondering if anyone else here has had the same problem with the new upgrade:

I'm working on bbl situations in "Analyze a new game" and it works fine until I pick the blind levels at 300/600 or higher on ftp 9 mans.
I get the following prompt message: "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index."

I've restarted it, and now I guess i will try reinstalling.

I am not able to reproduce the problem. I replied to your post in the sngwiz.com forums with further instructions.

hey guys, just got sng wiz for the first time and im tinkering around with it. one thing im a little confused about is how to figure out what my calling range vs a push is. here is a sample hand just to illustrate (yes i know A9s is an easy call, thats not my question).

when i look at this in wiz it suggests i 'push' 60.5% of hands even though my opponent is the one pushing. does that mean it wants me to call 60.5% of hands i have? i put it to manually assume hes pushing 75% of hands. thus is it saying i can profitably call 22+, A2+, K2+, Q2+, J5+, J2s+,T7+,T5s+98+ etc?
