Re: PokerTracker 3: Beta Released

It would be great if PT3 didn't require Postgres installed locally to even start. I run my Postgres server on a separate networked machine, but it won't even let me configure it because Postgres isn't installed on my poker machine.

Also, opening in the CO is a steal no matter what happens behind you. This cannot change.

This is not the case - I run mine on a remote linux host.

Are you downloading the "without postgres" version?

Wait... you may need to install the win32 ODBC driver for postgres - please try this (if it is the "without postges" version that is failing, otherwise try that first).

Is there a way to filter players for x # of hands played?

I downloaded the "without postgres" version. I already have the PGODBC driver installed on this machine from using it with PT2 and PAHUD.

Whenever I try to run PT3, it immediately gives me a splash screen with "Fatal Error - PokerTracker cannot operate without PostgreSQL."

Does it install OK then this when you start it? or this is during installation?

This shouldn't happen - please make a post on the pt3 forums to make sure Josh / AP10 see it - maybe they changed something postgres detection related for the beta I don't know about.

It is *certainly* not intentional to require postgres on localhost.

Yuck, duplicate hands really kill the import speed. I've been importing for the last 75 minutes and it's currently at 17h/s

To be fair, they kill the *reported* import speed - but they do slow it down a tad.

import speed only includes new hands in PT3's estimate - but a duplicate takes a similar time to process at this time.

Apparently default Brightness/Contrast settings on my Gateway FPD2275Wmonitor aren't ideal for PT3 viewing. Who woulda thunk it.

My screenshot looks much better now, ldo.

Also, still not sure about my 48 hand (and tab) errors for this months data, but I will try and take a better look at it tomorrow when I am fresh.

*Edit

Where is the option to show profit as big blind per 100 hands instead of Big Bets?

Re: PokerTracker 3: Beta Released

Do we get all the stats (3bet %age etc) by converting a database for PT2 to PT3?
Or do we have to export the hands in .txt format from PT2 and import them into PT3 for that?

Re: PokerTracker 3: Beta Released

All the stats

The current "upgrade" procedure just pulls the HHF from PT2 DB and re-parses them for full stats. So it is the same (but probably faster) as expoert to txt -> import.

In the future there will be routine to convert with minimal stats for those who did not save the HH files.

Re: PokerTracker 3: Beta Released

are there eventually going to be more options to modify the database, such as:

purging specific hands/sessions
exporting hands/sessions
backing up from PT instead of havign to go into the PG Admin.

Also, I really think the Att to Steal stat needs to be fixed...there is a 12 % point difference after I imported my PT2 hands into PT3
