Is there any possibility to solve this problem? I already tried it with UltimateHistory, which automatically saves the HHs into another folder after converting, but PT3 is still giving me the same error message.

Im aware that this question mightve been asked before and feel sorry for not reading through the whole thread before asking, but i actually tried the search engine and besides UltimateHistory it didnt give me any thread about UB and PT3.
UltimateBet is not supported yet. Right now the only sites supported in PT3 are Stars, FTP, and Party. Support for other sites will be added in future beta releases. The developers seem to want to work out as many kinks/bugs as possible before expanding site support.

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 4 Release - 13-Feb-08)

I just downloaded the v3 with PostgreSQL and when I tried to install I got an NSIS error saying the file was corrupt.

Downloaded the other one and it installed fine, I'll fire it up when I finish my game.

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 4 Release - 13-Feb-08)

So I'm importing a couple million hands into beta 4 and somehow it ate up all my hard drive space. wtf?

I don't remember how much I had to begin with, but it was at least a couple gigs (I suspect significantly more than that but I can't be sure) because of some files I deleted today, and then 25% through the import the "Your c: drive is low on disk space" pops up. I deleted a 700MB file and I'm now watching the free disk space slowly decline again while the import continues.

Yeh I suggest you make atleast 100 gig partition dedicated to postgresql data files. A dedicated hard drive - even better.

Is this serious or a joke? Can PT3 makers tell us how much space is needed for 2-3 million hands?

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 4 Release - 13-Feb-08)

If you have a beta3 DB, and importing to a beta4 DB, that can use up double the space for the same data. Make sure you delete all of your beta3 DB, before importing the new beta4 DB. I assume many of u have a HM DB and PT2 DB on your machine like I do. My current SQL folder is only ~6 GB right now, but I only have ~200k hands in each of my 3 databases. Rough guesstimate = 10gb per 1 million hands, but probably less, as I think I have at least 2 different PT2 DB's.

10gb per 1 million hands, wow that sucks, i guess playing on my laptop isnt the best idea then.

I may be off, I am just taking a real wild guess, for the time being. I am sure someone witha single, large DB will chime in soon.

I forgot - my HM DB does have a lot of mined hands I am forgetting all about, in my guess-timate. I am possibly off by a wide margin.

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 4 Release - 13-Feb-08)

Does PT2 require this much disk space as well??? wtf?

I don't feel like clearing out half of my hard drive so I guess I'll save the observed hand imports for later.

fwiw, 1.4 mil hands took 5 hours (77 hands/s).

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 4 Release - 13-Feb-08)

PT3 currently uses about 1 gb per 100k hands, based off a quick estimate of the databases I currently have on my computer. I think PT2 uses maybe 50-75% of that, but it stores a whole lot less information as well. We plan on compressing the hand history information, which will save some space (maybe reduce it to 700-900 mb/100k hands).

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 4 Release - 13-Feb-08)

Some things I have noticed. The font size of the chip stacks in the replayer window is very small.

When I double click a hand, then the "Hand Details" tab comes up, I'd like it that when I exit that window on the "Hand History" tab, that that tab is the default one the next time I open it. I don't see what "Hand Details" is usefull for. Plus it would be very nice, if that window remembered the size I pulled it, so I don't have to scroll the hand history every time.

Let's say I have the second hand highlighted, then when I click "Play Hands" it starts at the first one, would be nice if it could start at the highlighted one.

Plus even though I have "Auto Play-Hands" checked the replaying stops after the first action (raise, call or fold) from UTG and I have to click on the play button to get it started.

The replayer still has a long way to go. All of your suggestions are good and are things we already had planned.

I guess I was pretty close with my DB size Guess-timate.

Yep, you were right. I just wanted to follow up so people know the developer agrees with you.
