one question: is it possible to scan a DB for players you have over a certain number of hands on? i don't want to keep mining hands on those certain players haha
|
You can create a custom report that does this. Just remove the filter for the active player and add a filter for the hand count. For more information, see our documentation: http://www.pokertracker.com/products/PT3/docs/

With 15 million hands, you're better off waiting.

I'd like to get this in, but it's not looking good. I'll do my best though. If it's not in by initial commercial release, it will be in shortly after.

Download, run, and follow the prompts - and it will extract the images to the PT3 folder on your C drive (giving you the option to redirect if you run PT3 from another drive). If you only want a portion of the graphics mod, such as the HUD cards, but didnt want to skin the replayer, you can extract the contents of my installer using WinRAR, and then manually copy/paste only the specific images you want to change.
I recommend you first make a copy of: C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Data\Images in case you want to revert back to default pt3 images.

i made the custom report and now i have a really long list of 1 million numbers saying the number of hands a player has. the player names don't show up next to the number of hands. how do i get them to show up and how do i search for players with >xyz number of hands?

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 11 Release - 06-May-2008) - incl. HUD!
k... I created a new database... set it to active... made it the default.... started to import.. still got the following error message "Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: PokerTracker is configured to import into an outdated database. This must be corrected before an import can succeed.
"
then.. under the "preferences" tab.. I switched it from the "pokertracker 3 beta database 1" to my newly created dbase name .. for both Import Played and Import Observed.
Yay.. the HUD works...
however...
upon closer inspection...it isn't working.
the "statbar" shows the number of hands played.. and the rest of the stats....
well.. after playing for a while (over 20 mins).. the statbar still didn't update to recognize that more hands had been played. Also.. the statbar would frequently "disappear"... and reappear a few minutes later. stats for some players wouldn't show...
** I stopped the Auto Import.. and restarted some time later..and it now seems to be working fine. I will keep an eye on it later....
another interesting bug.. I don't know if it was beta11.. but this has never happened to me before without it... the program sometimes would hijack my system. If I had two tables waiting for action.. program would make me action one before I would be able to move windows to the next table.... that could be a problem....
I will keep update you with any other bugs if I find any... (hope not).

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 11 Release - 06-May-2008) - incl. HUD!
I apologize if this has been addressed before. I was just thinking of what could be a great feature. Would it be possible to have all of the players (at the table) stats' on the hand replayer? A lot of plays will depend on whose surrounding you, and it'd be sweet to judge plays in the replayer based on whose sitting. It's just kinda tedious to have to go search each player and then go back to view the replayer. I understand if it's hard to implement, though.

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 11 Release - 06-May-2008) - incl. HUD!
Quick question:
a) Will the PT3 HUD show you your pot odds and display them like Pokeroffice?
b) Is PAHUD built in now?

Did you use the "Holdem Cash Player Statistics" section? There's a player summary report available in the repository on our site. You might want to download it and import it into PT3 to see how it was made.

The replayer will definitely have Hud stats on it.

a. No, this is not likely to happen.
b. Yes, PT3 has a built-in Hud that's available in the latest beta.

Is there something wrong with your e-mail server? I'm trying to create an account so that I can purchase the product, but I'm not receiving an account confirmation e-mail. I've tried looking in my junk e-mail folder, too. No dice.

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 11 Release - 06-May-2008) - incl. HUD!
yesterday i realized that playing 700k hands a year means an yearly increase of more than 5 GB for a database. thats not only unhandy but total madness as the same amount of data in hh files takes ~ 1/10 of space only.
440k hands as hh files are 470 MB of data.
440k hands as PT3 database are ~ 3 GB of data.
we dont need to know how we played years ago on NL5.
we only need to know how much we won years ago on NL5.
we could save a lot of space and speed if we could divide the database in two pieces.
one piece with the last optional, for example 200k hands per level inclusive playing information,
the other piece with winning information only, no hh itself.
technical:
the outsourced hands can be stored in plain hh files, which everybody keeps anyway anywhere.
hands moved to "processed" could be noted, so they could be put there without creating duplicates.
outsourced hands could be added to a stats summary, to provide stats for all hands ever played.
i know its some work but not too hard to think about it.

The price is $89.99 I think. You get a discount if you own PT2 and/or PAHUD based on how long you've had those for.

Re: PokerTracker 3 (Beta 11 Release - 06-May-2008) - incl. HUD!
finding PT3 pretty nice to use, and since I never used PT2 before I'm finding things fairly easy to run.
A couple of issues though, which may have been covered:
1) Have been running on stars and party, and while it tracks cash accurately it doesn't manage to keep sng results. If I win one it still lists total amount won as $0 and gives me an ROI of -100% I can manually enter the correct amount, but I'm not going to be doing that...
2) Secondly, and this is probably me not figuring out how to use it properly, how do I see the results of a tournament that I bring up after finding a player?
suppose I look up player XXX and find he played in STT YYY, and I want to see the final results and/or play by play of YYY is there a quick way to do that?
3) The easiest way to upgrade to the release is just export database delete the beta and install PT3 and then re-import?
And yes, I only have about 20-30k hands and the database is about 450mb, which seems a little large?
Apart from that, liking it

Someone just asked about this on the PT3 forum too - the email they were expecting took about an hour, so I guess there may have been a bit of a problem (or a lot of traffic!).

Yes, the server was down for an hour or so this morning. Sorry for the inconvenience.

PT3 databases, when clustered and vacuumed, take about 3 GB per million hands, so you're looking at about 2 GB growth per year. If you're that concerned over space, create a new database for each year, and only keep two years worth. Keep the hand histories from other years zipped and backed up somewhere in case you need them along with screenshots of the statistics from the database you had.

1. You need to have PokerStars and Party email your tournament summaries to you. Importing those into PT3 will get your results.
2. The Tournaments tab show the details of the tournaments the player played in.
3. You don't need to uninstall the beta, just install over it. But yes, exporting hands and re-importing is the easiest way when a database change occurs.
