Exclamation PokerTracker v3.11 Beta Release (60 day trial)

We are proud to announce the commercial release of PokerTracker 3!

Current Version(s) are reflected in thread title.

For the release information and subsequent discussion, please click here:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Previous to commercial release, PokerTracker 3 was available for public beta testing. The following posts chronicle that time period, until the commercial release announcement linked above.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are proud to announce the beta release of PokerTracker 3!

We welcome you to join beta testing PokerTracker 3. Please read this entire post before you begin testing.

PokerTracker 3 (PT3) has come a long way in a very short amount of time; however, we still have a lot that needs to be done. Please realize that we are still in a beta testing stage. The software is incomplete, missing features, and will contain some bugs. We need your help to speed along the process of making PokerTracker 3 the best poker tracking software available. To help us do that, we need for you to submit bug reports, give us your comments, and provide suggestions. You can report back to us via the:If you have any issues, prior to contacting us, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the software to ensure that the issue has not already been resolved.

If you are not willing to deal with software that may crash or have other issues then we suggest that you do not download the beta and instead wait for the commercial release.

The initial beta version has most of its emphasis on cash/ring games. There is tournament support but it is incomplete and rough around the edges. The initial beta currently supports three sites:
  • PokerStars
  • PartyPoker
  • Full Tilt Poker
It is important for us to test core functionality prior to supporting additional sites. In addition, not all the stats and filters are currently available. As we progress through beta testing, we will add more site support, more stats and more filters

Also missing in the initial beta release is the HUD. Our primary focus up until this point was on getting a stable, solid foundation built. Now that we have obtained that (as far as we know) we will be shifting our focus onto the HUD development. Right now, the HUD is priority number one. Additional sites will be added after the HUD is released.

This version of PokerTracker 3 only supports PostgreSQL databases. There are two downloads available. One with the PostgreSQL install packaged with it and one without. Make sure to launch the installation file as an administrator. After installation has finished, run PokerTracker 3 (make sure you run as admin) and it will guide you through the PostgreSQL installation/setup. After you have created your first database, you can begin importing your hand histories. The auto-import configuration should be simple. In fact, it should automatically detect your poker site settings and be ready for immediate use.

To begin testing, download the installation file from the PokerTracker 3 website then run. No registration codes are required. We do recommend that you register on the website so that you can participate in forum discussions and receive personalized support.

Have fun testing PokerTracker 3 and remember to keep us updated on what you are testing and how it is performing. Also, please give us your comments on the software thus far along with your ideas for new potential features.

PokerTracker 3 - Documentation

We have a Quick Start Guide along with other documentation to help aide with the installation and configuration of PokerTracker 3. We highly recommend that you read through these guides prior to downloading and installing.

Fantastic import speed - you guys know what you are doing.

Around 4x faster than HM on my machine. He'll probably copy it but it's worth noting that you guys got it right the first time.

Fast imports and fast performance and tab switching. I'll report back after a full 5.7M hands are loaded.

Nice job guys!

The algorithms. Right now HM does its imports in a really stupid way - PT3 does it correctly, but it's easy enough to copy once shown.

PT2's default database is Microsoft Access (old and outdated). Do you know if you have PostgreSQL installed? If not, download the version with PostgreSQL and PokerTracker will install it for you. The worst case is you already have it installed and PT3 will detect that

Derek

I can tell you that we have not tested on a database that large (simply because we do not have the hand histories). After importing that many hands, it is imperative that you do a Cluster. You can either set PokerTracker to "Cluster on Completion" in the manual import window or after the import has finished you can go Database->Cluster Active Database.

Please let us know how it turns out

Best regards,

Derek

Since you just purchased PT2; you will receive a $55 discount on PT3. If you purchase PokerAce Hud now, you will receive a $25 discount on the HUD. So there is no reason to 'wait' since you will be receiving the full price back.

Best regards,

Derek

I will add -- A cluster of that many hands would take a looooong time. I think my 1.1mill hands took an hour and a half. So make sure you have plenty of time to do the cluster. Obviously clusters are faster each subsequent time, but the first big one will take a while.
