on stan james when I play on anon. tables HUD displays lifetime stats for my opponents by default. I really like it tho that it would display HUD as on normal tables not rounded with yellow box

also, MY hud stats seem to not work, either not displaying numbers at all, or not updating stats. I have to set HUD to display lifetime stats and then back to table session stats and then my stats will update

Re: PokerTracker 4: Public Beta Available Now

How long is the DB-update to 4.01.14 supposed to take? It asked if I wanted to do a backup before which I did. The backup completed successfully but the db-update has been running for 1 hour now (core i5, 12gb ram, 13GB db size). What do I do?

PokerTracker is just like any other app that is designed using typical OS interface standards. Using a Web browser is more efficient when using a two button mouse, so is PokerTracker 4.

The calculation method for net adjusted winnings was altered in the recently release beta. In the past we were using montecarlo simulations, but we have switched to a new model which allows your to choose your own simulation type; for the greatest accuracy to speed ratio we recommend the settings below found inside the Configure Sites & Import Options preferences.

If you already have hand histories imported then we recommend you re-run tournament detect so your net adjusted winning results are updated using the new calculation method.
  1. On the tourny page, click Edit Tournament Results
  2. Under the list of tournaments, uncheck Only Tournaments Needing Results and click Select All
  3. Click Auto Detect
  4. Match the settings shown below, the top two check boxes should be checked, the bottom check box remains unchecked. Change the default for unknown table types to STT since your only playing SNGs, and choose the relevent speed type - Normal should probably work in your scenario.
  5. Click Detect. This process will now populate any missing finish and ammount won fields that were previously missing, and also update all of your net adjusted winnings calculations.
  6. When this is complete click close and close the Tournament Results window. Refresh your graph to see the newly calculated data points.

That is a fairly standard time frame for a database of your size, the update merges two large tables together inside PostgreSQL. All of the work is performed on the SQL server, not inside of PokerTracker.

How many hands total do you estimate you have in this database?

You can run PT3 and the new PT4 beta side by side if you choose to. We certainly think it is worth upgrading, but you should be aware that a beta means we are still developing and tweaking the player experience.

Not exactly sure, but something like 10M++ at least.. Don't know if I should kill the process and try again? Reimporting the database would take days, so that's not an option.

In a web browser the right mouse button gives me quick access to functions that are also available in the menu. Call me old-fashioned, but if I look for some functionality I expect to find it in the main menu somewhere.

Just a suggestion to help dumb people like me: On the right side of reports there's written something like "double click row for details" vertically in a small font. Consider adding "right click for more options" to that.

Days to import? Then you should expect an overnight for a table update at a minimum. Let it continue, you will probably be ok. If you want to monitor Postgres's work you can look for the postgre.exe processes in your task monitor, there should be multiple versions of the process running.

ok, you are old-fashioned We intentionally avoid cluttering the menus to provide as simple of a user interface as possible. This is a very common developer choice in modern UI design.
