One more question.
How can I disable HUD stats scaling or I am not sure how it is called. I want to choose one font size and use it on all table sizes. I don`t want HUD stats to change font size if I increase or decrease table size.

What site does it convert the hands to? Do the hand histories have the correct time and timezone specified? PT4 uses the timezone information from the histories to set the correct time for the hands so if this is wrong we won't be able to adjust it correctly.

PT4 doesn't know anything about the sites that you're playing at if you're using a converter, and if the converters write the histories as the same supported site for PT4 to import for both of your unsupported sites the then PT4 will think all of the hands are from the same site so there will only be one Hud layout.

Yes. Select the stat that you want to link the popup to and set the 'Popup' property in the Items Properties section (top right).

Go to Hud > Edit Hud Options > General Settings > Advanced and turn off the 'Allow Vector Scaling' option.

I'm getting the following error:

Unable to login to database (postgres). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "???" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?


I have rebooted the pc twice and also stopped/started Postgres.

What's my next move?

Locate and delete the postmaster.pid file if it is present (not "postmaster.opts" which may be there too). You can find that file in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.3\data\ although you may have a different PostgreSQL version (e.g. 8.4, 9.0) or have it installed in C:\Program Files (x86). Once it's deleted, reboot and try starting PokerTracker 4 again.

As far as I am aware that is correct although you need third party software to convert the hands into an iPoker format.

Please refer to this guide for exporting tournaments. You can then import the exported files into your PC using "Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk".

Changing computers sent email to support hoping for timely response and demtris is looked into quickly fwiw they have always been fast in supporrt with me this was 6 month ago tho.

I have a 11gb database to backup.

Then i have to uninstall my pt4 from my old computer and reregister it on my new computer. With it being a new state of the art comp with 128gn ram i7 processor i assume my database will transfer over easy enough.

Any other things you can think of i should back up before uninstalling pt4? Hud profiles? I reallt like my hud

Really hoping this database saves i had this issue and lost 11gb db last time cause it was a new windows 8 from 7.

This new computer im putting 8.1 from windows 8 but im hoping it doesnt lose my whole database as impoeting the database it couldnt read the files last time apperently ? Could i alternitely email pokerstars for all my hands from last 6 month and import them that way if all else fails?

Oh and one more thing. Postgres will install when i install pt4 on my new computer right?

You can backup your HUD profiles along with other custom seetings when you backup your database - see this guide for details.

Yes that can be done if necessary.

Yesterday my PT was working fine. I have made no alterations since then but today when I started playing the HUD profile I set as default was not the active HUD, nor could I find this profile in the in-game drop down menu. It has vanished mysteriously.

To rectify this I thought I`d just export the HUD profile from my old laptop to my new one, which is what I did a few months ago when I bought the new laptop and needed to copy all my data to it.

In Hud>Options>Export Profile, however, when I try to save the profile I get the error message:

Stat does not exist: Tournament Player - Session Hands\Hour (to file: C:\Users\X\Documents\HUD.pt4hud)

Which is confusing as it's not a stat I`m exporting, it`s a HUD...


Please can you let me know:
1. If you know why the profile vanished in the first place/if it is easily recoverable, and
2. if not, how to overcome this export problem

1. Select "File -> Open User Data Folder" menu item and go into the "Data" folder. Do you have "HudProfiles.pt4.backup" and "Layouts.pt4.backup" from before the trouble occurred. If so try renaming those files without the .backup extension.

2. Stats are exported with HUD profiles so they can be imported if the stats don't exist on the computer they are imported into. You can try removing that stat from the HUD profile and exporting again or copying your "HudProfiles.pt4" and "Layouts.pt4" from the old laptop (or transfer your HUD profiles using backup & restore where you can uncheck everything except "User Data Files"). If you have new HUD profiles on the new laptop that weren't on the old one that you want to keep you should export those before restoring files from the old laptop so you can reimport them afterwards.

I play on Betfair.com and I have been facing some problems with PT4. It misses a ton of hands while importing during the game, and when I would like to import them manually after the session it says "No files were found", but I am positive that I choose the correct folder.

hi, i have 4.14.21 on windows 8.1. i downloaded some add-ons for rake calculations, so i have two .p4stat files.

how do i install and use them?

Configure -> Statistics -> Options -> Import

After you have done that you can add them into the information box.

ok. i have imported them. i can see them in the Configure -> Statistics window.

they are rake related (rake in bb/100). i would like these to show up in the reports near the "rake attrib" column.

mostly i want them on the overview and summary views.

can you point me to the doc for doing this?

can anyone tell me if the latest version of progreSQL matters say i had 9.3.9 and i want to import hands / database to a new pt4 with progreSQL version 9.6.1 would it be a problem or is it reccommended to use the latest version whenever setting up pt4 on a new computer anyways?

By default PokerTracker 4 moves your processed hand histories to your \PokerTracker 4\Processed folder which you can access via the "File -> Open User Data Folder" option. If you have any further trouble please open a Support Ticket and report your problem so we can investigate that for you.

We have had some issues reported with newer versions of PostgreSQL so at this time PostgreSQL versions above v9.3 are not supported by PokerTracker 4 so I'd recommend using PostgreSQL v9.3.15.

i can add the stats to a report, but it changes the report!

i am adding some new rake stats to the overview/results/basic/by stake.

before i add anything, i get a report for each stake which includes Rake attrib

after i add one the these new rake stats (bb/hour and my c/100), i get a line for each session instead of a summary line for that stake for all sessions (like before i started adding stats).

i would like the see the rake in bb/100 hands for each stake.
