Sorry, this was a sloppy mistake on my part. Please download Poker Copilot again and you'll be able to start it up.

Regards,

Steve

Another question, I haven't deposited any real money yet, so Copilot is showing my play money as statistics. Will this reset when I start playing real money? Is there a way to reset it? Thanks!
If you download today's update, it willo work again.

The play money/real money confusion is a bit of an issue. You can manually move the play money hand history files away from where Full Tilt/Poker Stars writes them.

How does this app store data? I am primarily a SnG player right now, and would be multi-tabling with HUD. I think I read earlier that Poker Co-pilot doesn't use the same type of database like PT3.

Does the data build up, like histories with players from months ago, or does it become deleted after a certain amount of time? How much storage place does it take up. I probably average approx 10k hands per week and that will only increase.
Poker Copilot reparses the hand histories each time it starts up. It does this fast - about 3000 hands per second on a year-old MacBook Pro. When Full Tilt or PokerStars removes the hand history files (based on your hand history settings) then they are gone from Poker Copilot too.

If you are playing 10K hands per week, Poker Copilot might not be your tool at the moment.

Steve

Why do you say that? 1 month = approx 40k which should take less than 15 secs?

What if I extended the length of time I keep the hand history?

can you post a screenshot of the new on-table-HUD?

any word on how i can import hand histories from my old computer and account? i cut and pasted the HH files to my new folder, but CoPilot does not seem to recognize these.

i was thinking more that it would be cool to have villain's hand listed in the "hands" section.

also, the HUD occasionally shuts off during the middle of a hand. this seems to happen randomly and usually reappears the next hand. in teh top left corner it reads "No HUD data available." any ideas?

also, i think it would be great to be able to categorize by stakes in teh graphs section.

i'd really like to buy this program when my trial version needs at the end of the month, but it needs a couple more goodies.

I guess I'm just making sure I don't create unrealistic expectations! Best thing is, to give Poker Copilot a try and see if it works for you. And then give me feedback!

The 30-day trial version is the full version, with all features.

Steve

This _should_ be working. Some tips:

* In the Poker Copilot preferences, make sure the folder with HH files is listed

* Take a look in the Poker Copilot console (in the Window menu) to see if any error messages are listed

Steve

Thanks for the suggestions.

Regarding the HUD problem: this should be fixed in the next update, due real soon now.

Steve

Will definitely give it a try once I get my hands on a Mac - maybe in the next month or so.

Does what I'm saying seem plausible though? If I extend the length of time I keep my history, Co-Pilot will work with the data, just take a bit longer to get started? Will it slow things down mid-game, or do you believe it's just a start-up issue?

Thanks for all your honest and timely responses - much appreciated!

steve: i'm going to buy the program in a few days. do you accept payments via a transfer on full tilt? also, if i pay by check, do i have to wait until you receive the check in order to download?

once i download, do i have import anything? will all my old data be saved and show up?

Just downloaded the software and like it. One immediate problem showed up though. I play a lot of satellites on ft and on tourneys I have won (tied for 1st with tourney entry as a prize), the database counts this as a loss of the entry fee. Would there be a way to manually adjust the prize money for these tourneys so that the stats would be correct?

Nice work all around however!

Also if there was a way to include rebuys in the buy-in costs for tourneys, that would be great.

Funny you should ask. This is currently in progress.

This has been done and will be included in the next update (coming in the next few days).

Definitely plausible. If you get a new Mac, there will be no problems whatsoever - those things are so fast, they blind me.

It's just a start-up issue, and Poker Copilot tries to be smart about this. It loads your newest hand history files first, and while it's loading the rest you can already use it. I've designed Poker Copilot to take advantage of the multi-core CPUs in all new computers. This means it can do multiple things at once.

Regards,

Steve

So I'll just boot up, load co-pilot, do my pre-game stuff and by the time I'm ready, all should be good to go - sounds good.

I heard from a relatively reliable source that Apple will increase their iMac specs shortly (like within a month or so) - anyone else hear this? I'd wait for that (as I have to travel for work before that anyway).

Hi Steve,

I sent you an email but figured to mention here that I'm having this same problem.

you accept FT/Stars transfers?

I had to stop taking payments via Full Tilt. It's too complicated making sure I'm meeting my tax obligations. You can pay by credit card or paypal.

When you download, it should automatically detect your hand histories. If not, you can tell Poker Copilot which folder they are in by using the preferences.

Steve

The new HUD doesnt seem to work for me.

It keeps saying I need to chose my seat in preferences? Don't know what that means...

Hi Steve,

Downloading the newest version today fixed my problem with the New HUD. Now it works, thank you so much.

A few suggestions:
-It's critical to me that their be a few more stats available to the HUD. Specifically hands played and blind defense % are what I'm thinking of, but there are probably a bunch of others that would be very nice to have.

-I'd like the numbers to be colored rather than they all be the same color. Maybe this is possible and I don't know how? It's really hard to differentiate between the numbers and pick them out when they're small (while tiling a lot of tables).

-More customization to the HUD positioning and size would be great too.

Perhaps I'm not the target customer (high volume multitabling LHE), but these changes are kind of necessary for me to use it for my typical session. I was hopeful that it wouldn't be necessary, but for now I'm still going to need to stick with my PC until I can get PT3/HEM set up on my Mac (or your program keeps improving ).

Thank you so much and good luck!
