I wrote a converter for Poker Academy Pro 2.5 (export, text version) for the result of the 2008 AAAI Computer Poker Competition. I handed up with 84 files of 6000 (exactly) hands each of 6 player Ring Limit Hold'em. Half a million hands total. The hands are full-information on all players.
I gave Prospector the folder with the 84 files and the import started pretty fast. (700 h/s on a new Macbook 2.4Ghz with 4Go Ram). 446 000 hands later, the import rate had dropped bellow 1h/s (46h/min), after dropping at a steady rate during the whole process. The import was then stopped. The global import rate was 57h/s and the import lasted for 2h10min, and at the end, the memory usage was at 100%.
A 2nd importation of the files that had not been imported showed little improvement on the import rate. Prospector was then restarted, and the importation of the remaining files was done with a much better import rate (30h/s, nothing compared to the performance of an empty database).
All that was done using Prospector 2 on Mac.
There is obviously some memory leaks/performances issues when importing large number of hands - my hopes where to put more than 3 millions of hands into the program (ring history from each player perspective), but this seems tricky preformance-wise.
The hand per second indicator could be a more immediate indication rather than an average over the whole import phase, it would give a more useful and accurate information.
My stats have not been tracked properly because once I am busted out of a sng, I usually close the table before I get some sort of notification as to what happened. I think this prevents the last hand to be recorded in the HH, which is why I need to import the tournament summaries all the time.
from the looks of things development has stopped on this project. No new beta updates in over a month and i asked over at their forums if the project was still being developed and they never responded and that was like 2 days ago.
I have found prospector to be as good as any other software used for tracking.
mac user power book g4. No hang ups what so ever. After several months still peeking into features. My game needs work and the software is helpful for plugging leaks. just starting to get into other players stats features. I find it as good as pt or poffice. The replay features surpass any. I wish I could drill down to something that could be better or fixed. maybe I still have to get used to the program more. but it really is great.
Thanks
Phil
o.k getting excited a little just imported some old hand histories. From over 2100 sessions
90k plus hands only 443 failed. It will be interesting to see how they look.

Because his name doesn't fit within the 2p2 rules (same as his product/URL). He was sent a message when he was banned to reply to 2p2 via email, so he can have his name changed. That's the only way we can be sure to get the name changed correctly.
I would like to be able to break out stats on just SNG's and be able to separate them by buy in's. perhaps I am missing seeing this option. Also It would be great to be able to break out - say $20 MTT and look at stats just from them.
As a poker neebie many moons ago I made the mistake of purchasing poker prospector, I am now a HEM man, but I like to use prospector for a few stats. The problem started after the wonderful people at full tilt did the updates, I emailed the non existant support at prospector, who continue to ignore me (worst support anywhere). What is happening is my hands are importing to prospector, but no data shows up. It says it cannot find the parser, what is parsing, how do I fix it? Any and all help is appretiated. Thanks for your time.
I already asked at the prospector2 forums but got no response. I'm hoping someone here can help me. How do i filter for the following situation in P2? I raise villain 3-bets and i fold?
I think it's safe to assume that prospector2 is not gonna come out. The last update was close to a year ago. The site that takes error reports is even down. Guess they decided that there is no room in the market for another piece of tracking software.
