so its web based, does this mean it datamines the hand histories? If so, doesn't that go against the terms of service of the poker room?

Pokeit does not datamine hand histories. The only hand histories you will be able to use with Pokeit are your own. Your hand histories will be private and viewable only to yourself. In the future we plan on introducing the ability to post hands to the web, and a feature for sharing a limited number of hands with friends who are also Pokeit users.

A downloadable tool for automatically syncing the hand history folders on your computer with your Pokeit account will be included when you sign up. This will make it so you won't have to manually upload your hands every time you play.

will it offer a web based hud? I already have a hud but i think these days people just expect any tracker to also have a hud. When i upload hands i assume the hands will stay on your server and we don't need to upload the same hands over again when we went to do a check up.

Web HUD would come before a desktop HUD application. However, desktop HUD really delivers a better experience, so that's where we want to go long term. We want to put some time & thought into the stats available to the HUD so it's not just a carbon copy of HEM & PT3. So for example, instead of just giving you 3-bet %s we'd like to give you 3-bet ranges, etc.

Yes, but it should all happen in the background anyways so just telling it where your folders are when you install the syncing application would be enough to keep your hands up to date forever.

So will we be able to use an existing HUD with this until the HUD is developed?

The program looks great and it definitely looks like you have the right idea. I would just make sure that until your HUD is ready that players will be able to use a HUD they already have.

so chaz-

how would this work with FPDB? i see above that you say it wont interfere but since its "based" off it for a lack of a better term, would i need to change anything as i currently use FPDB as my HUD.

Tentative beta launch date will be January 31st. I'd say there's a 25% chance it gets pushed back a week or two, but I can only picture that happening if we hit something unexpected.

We also went ahead and upgraded our severs. We had planned on doing this after the beta - hence our desire to set a limit on the number of beta users. Now that that's not a issue, we're going to grant beta trial access to all the people that had applied.

Have to admit, i'm kinda jazzed.

HUD - Yes

Hoping to have Mac support for the syncing application prior to beta launch. If not before, then shortly after.

A lot of our features are designed around analyzing the hands that you've played, but it'll upload any hand history text file you tell it to for sites that we support.
