Two quick announcements:
1)I shipped capped version (to 25 threads) by accident yesterday; if you use "force update" button in the updater now you will get the uncapped one (or download the link directly); it only affects big machines though.
2)The UPI documentation is not up because it's not final; a lot of things will be corrected/cleaned up; the solver updated and then documentation published

So, I updated and now there are 3 Solvers: PioSOLVER-preflop, and 2 another - PioSOLVER-edge16 and PioSolver-edge16haswell.
What's the difference between last two? Should I pick PioSOLVER-edge16haswell if I have Intel i5-4690?
What accuracy for preflop ranges I'll get if I try to solve like example SB vs BB 6max Cash by myself on 10 flops in PioSOLVER-preflop.
I mean, I have only 16 GB RAM, so for 100 BB stacks I can solve only small subset of flops. How much it changes Preflop ranges, that we get like a result if we use 10 flops instead of 75 or 185 (I used in Pio 1.6)?
Is there any sence to do it for 10 flops at all? Will be this results truthful for all flops? I mean, I'm not sure, that 10 flops are enough to get presentable results.

I watched the quick start guide and was surprised by how capped the limping range was for the 100bb HU solution. What isolation size was used in this solution? If this is similar to postflop then having the possibility of large raises seems important for balance.
I noticed that the precomputed PioCloud packs requires Edge license. I would be interested in them if I could buy them without Edge license and just pay an extra fee. Is this something you are considering?

The service is very cheap (it's cheaper than setting up and running stuff yourself using major cloud providers) and running it requires work. We are not making much from it as the person running it needs to make it worth his time. We are making money by selling preflop solvers. The cloud option is just added option and added value.
It may change in the future though.
Hi I want to set up UTGvs3bet IP senario for pre flop solver, I know my UTG range I set it UP as OOP, I know IP 3bet range, I set it UP as IP, EFF stack is 100bb OOP money in pot is 30 = 3bb IP put money in pot is 90 = 3x raise dead money 15 BB+SB so now action on OOP i 4bet to 200 IP SHoves or Calls no problem here. Problem is with UTG calling a 3bet, becouse if I press ch/call from the Root I get Limp, how I make it Call?
Are there any plans to implement rounding prior to solving? I'm sure this feature has been requested before, but I'd imagine that there would be major differences between a solution that's rounded after solving (that's derived from a mixed strategy) and a solution run under the parameters of not allowing a mixed strategy to begin with.
Cliffs: Implementing mixed strategies is hard, I'd like the option of accurate, simplified solutions that are easier for me to use. I'm worried that rounding after solving isn't accurate.

I toyed around with it in the past but it's not trivial to make work. I hope I can make it work one day but it's hard to predict for me how it turns out at this point.
While I am not crazy about rounding feature making it work is important for other reasons so I actually have some incentive to try in the near future

If you have less, test on small subset (say 5 flops) and see how it behaves. If it behaves better it means that probably part of the big tree was already in a swap file and that slowed it down.

If it runs like that then it's a problem on the viewer<->solver line which is usually solved by either running both as admin or disabling antivirus for a while (and if that solves the problem adding the programs to the list of allowed ones). Especially Avast is notorious for causing silent fails of various kinds.
If the solver doesn't start at all on your computer then write to Oskari including exactly what happens when you try to start and what CPU and operating system version you are running.

I get an error stating please verify that both the os and process support intel x 87, cmov, mmx, pxave, sse etc etc.

It looks like the compile uses some CPU instructions yours doesn't support.

Preferably include exact CPU model you have, he should be able to make a compile for you.

Don't use node-locking for something like BTN raise, SB 3bet for that just choose starting ranges and force both BTN bet and SB 3bet in the tree (don't add calls and folds there).
I will run some more cases with proper node locking to confirm it works.

(download link in the product description) start it, go to Tools->Range explorer and there you have a nice range analysis tools which calculates equities vs range instantly and exactly.
If you would like to have preflop equity just edit the board to be empty, like here:

The result is that weaker one has do each iteration 66% slower (f.e 1st iteration 213sec vs 129sec) and whole work of course also.
My 1st question is could I expect any other script would give similar effect I mean about 55% - 75% different?
My second question is if I am interested only in EVs to aggregation report how my scripts/trees should looks like? Still 0.25% accuracy? How many sizings flop/turn/river would you recomend? What about donking?

It also makes sense to cut as many lines which don't contribute to overall EV much (or at all). Those include:
-flop donkbet on the flop if OOP is not a preflop aggressor (so has weaker range)
-flop donkbets on turn/river (about always)
-raise IP on the flop (it's worth 0 in most cases)
also use one sensible in-the-middle sizing.

2) over 10 times shorter solving time
But there some significient differents in results:

For quads even 1,4bb. I dont know if it be very important if go for 100 flops but if yes. What is more important add 1 more sizing (flop? turn? river?) or increase accuracy? I can imagine that additional sizing on flop could make it better but don't want to make decision only on one flop experience - you have a lot more experience.

PioSOLVER solves for equilibrium (optimal play) without many assumptions.
The concept of CREV is a nice one but in practice it takes a lot of time to model opponent's strategy and you are never sure if you did it correctly. The probem with the solver is that you get an equilibrium but you won't get max exploitative strategy vs real non-optimal opponents. You can lock strategies in particular node to get some idea but mostly thinking how you should adjust from equilibrium to exploit your opponents is on you.
I like to think that CREV is a "a lot of input - little output" kind of program and PioSOLVER is "very little input - a lot of output" one. It's easy to fire up a tree or 10 or 50 for that matter and have results relatively quickly (with 50 you need to run it overnight) and then study them. It's easy to make aggregation reports, analyze the ranges with range explorer etc. You get more output than you can process so it's an art to pick the useful bits.
If I run PIO on 95 flops and each take about 5-6 minutes is it any sense of giving 10 sec break after each or it should be more (30 sec?) to take any effect?
