Bought NCE about a month ago and since I was new to HEM2, NoteCaddy and NoteCaddyEdge (NCE), I had a lot of things to get used to.
What I thought would be a 6 months kind of things to get used to all those new features was in fact very easy. Everything is very well done and there are instructions in the package for everything. Once in a while I have a question and nostrakhan is always available on skype to give a hand.
Just a few minutes ago, I wanted to add a new feature (I won't go into details but basically I wanted to a badge to show up if people slowplay or play their good hands fast) and I wasn't sure how to do it. Well nostrakhan proposed to do it himself with teamviewer, I sat back and relax and 10 minutes after it was all done and working. Don't think you can beat that support.
Anyway, you should just go for it, 99$ is a joke and I shouldn't be making that review because I'm just hurting my bottomline but whatever, nostrakhan is doing a fantastic job and he deserves props.

Hey Robin,
Thanks a lot for the nice review! I'm glad to help out. You are very kind
I'm either having an issue with my HUD or I'm not understanding it correctly.
Why are the PFR, 3bet, 4bet and CR stats super high in my HUD? The other stats seem to be correct such as WTSD, FCB, FTB, etc.
I have "Filter for # of players" in HUD Options correctly set to display 6-max hands. The reason the HUD is displaying 19k is that it is set to only show up to 20k hands to make loading easier.
Is this an issue to ask the HEM people?

Hey 300zxrider,
This is pretty strange, what version of HM2 are you using? If you don't have the latest version, try downloading that. Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is a HEM issue.

Are you using the edge.xml HUD? Please send us your holdemmanager.config and prefs.xml files so we can see all of your HUD settings/filters. It is now possible for pfr>vpip due to the recent changes we made to some of our stats calculations but this would only happen over a small sample. It is pretty much impossible for it to happen in such a large sample of cash hands so it must be somehow related to the filters.
Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'holdemmanager'.
Please attach your prefs.xml file from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Co nfig. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'prefs'.

Just wanted to post that this is definitely a HEM issue and NOT with NoteCaddy Edge. I downgraded the HEM version that I'm using and the issue went away.
This is definitely a product that I would recommend to any serious player or pretty much any player that even uses a HUD. It's amazing how much more information this package gives you while playing and it doesn't take that long to get the hang of it.
It is actually kind of scary to think about someone skilled using this package. It pretty much shows you all of a players tendencies at the table and even if they adjust to you it's possible to see how they are playing specifically again you and then you can counter what they are doing. Just like how the majority of winning regs today are using HUDs I think it's very likely that in the future we could see most winning regs using NoteCaddy or similar note-taking software and this package saves dozens and dozens of hours that you would have to invest to get NoteCaddy up to par.
Honestly, like everyone else in the thread said, I didn't really want to write this review lol but I believe that good work should be noticed and rewarded. If most regs at the tables were using this package correctly the games would be 10x harder than they are now.

So in conclusion, please raise the price!
Hey 300zxrider,
Thank you very much for the review! I do think you're right that many winning regs will be using software like this in the future. If they don't, they are just giving up EV.
The good thing for you is that most people that you'll play against aren't using this software yet, or will ever because they don't think it'll help or don't want to try it out. We'll do our best to stay ahead of the competition and people using their own definitions so that our customers will have as big of an edge as possible.
Hopefully you'll notice a nice boost in your winrate since incorporating NoteCaddy Edge into your game
