If this is dead then why doesn't the creator open the code so that FPDB or someone else could possibly use the information to improve their freeware?

This has been requested many times, but according to other posters in this forum if it were released it would destroy PLO online. Hehe, its too powerful.

So... we're still on for a July 1st release, right?

In a way I can see why people stop supporting their software but if my thread got 2k posts I can't imagine not being motivated enough to continue

But most of it is very negative and in some cases vicious. He was late on deadlines often and was torn to pieces in this very thread. Honestly, he put up with it longer than I could have. I think after awhile he just said Screw 2+2 and moved on to other things.

Yea he could've thought since people are so mean I'll just dump the project I've been working with the last few years.
Or the finished program was so powerful that he decided to not release it, and use it himself instead and earn his million(s) that way.
Or he realized most potential customers already had HEM or PT3 and didn't think there were enough market for his product.
Or there were some fundamental issues in his design that made it impossible to finish the product without completely starting over from scratch.

Or he realised he'd hyped it to such heights that the actual product would never come close to peoples expectations...

has phil ever login to 2+2 ever again?
if not, what's his new account

Perhaps people would of been nicer if he didn't constantly promote vapor ware. Pokerev has been on the edge of release for over a year now.

Hi basically when i fill in
Server 127.0.0.1
Port 5432
Username postgres
password ****************
database name PT3 DB or Holdemmanager. thats the two bases iv got
for PokerEV 0.80beta.

i get an error message saying
Error Connecting to the SQL server. Check that the service is started. The message was: ERROR: 42P01: relation "prefs" does not exist.

iv both tried to get it running with database from HEM and PT3, but still cant get it to find the database, iv turned of all my firewalls and everything since i thought it could be that blocking it, and im running as administrator aswell.
but still cant get it running , anyone got any idea, what could be the problem? id love any help i can get.

AFAIK, PokerEV only works with PT2.

sick bump. My theory is that it wouldn't be possible for a small team to make anything that could compete with PT3/HEM at this point. Both of them are just too good and have the resources to quickly match any new innovation and crush the new guy in the process

Though Mariah in a tight santa-suit is a lot more realistic, so I'll wish for that.
