3 things that you can count on in life:

1) Taxes
2) Poker software developers missing deadlines
3) death

FYP. Waiting is infinitely better than having to deal with frequent program crashes imo.

I wasn't really complaining? Was meant to be funny.

Yeah, I think most everyone already expected the estimated date to be missed. The legendary id software "when it's done" mentality ftw IMHO.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you were.

Guess I can give my F5 key a break.

Some time next week prob?

If not, I say we find where he lives - and go Toilet Paper is house.

Sure you don't mean 3d realms?
01-31-2008 , 05:33 PM
will this be working on MAC as well?
01-31-2008 , 09:03 PM
If it comes out tonight this will be the greatest day of my life imo.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don't know why all you software people do such a poor job at managing expectations. If you say it comes out at the end of January and then don't release it till the end of February, people get annoyed. If you say it won't be ready until the end of March but then release it at the end of February, people are happy and think you are the greatest programmer in the world.

That said, I would prefer to beta test this product once some of the obvious bugs are worked out and look forward to its release, whenever that might be.

cant wait for this ...

quick question when this comes out will the sklansky bux calc not be supporting PT or HM imports?

OK, sorry to derail the thread, but I don't think that people would be happy if Phil said it will be out at the end of February if he really thought it would be out at the end of January. Perhaps I have a different perspective because I'm one of those "software people," but what I'm looking for is a realistic guess, realizing that realistic means it might miss. With experience, "realistic" gets more accurate, but just padding a ton to expect the worst possible scenario or everything possible going wrong is not the way to go.

You guys have waited long enough already so it'll be available for download this Saturday night. The core program is release ready and all known bugs are fixed so there won't be more delays.

There are still a few things I want to add and change. If they're not done by Saturday they'll get disabled until later with an automated database upgrade.

No definite date on the HUD but the basics such as stat display, individual stat dragging, notes and configuration options are working. I still need to add a few things and do testing, but I'm going to make it a priority so you don't have to pay for products that are still beta quality. In the meantime, PokerObserver (the cross tracker HUD) will be out soon and should run off the PokerEV database at release or very soon after, so other options will be available as well.

Thanks for the support so far.

I might support PT3, I'll have to see how much work it is and what they do, but they may do their own all-in calcs at some point so it may not matter.

I have an 18 inch monitor. Will my green line still be 17.5 inches below my red line in this new version?

02-05-2008 , 07:34 PM
Sounds good.

Excited to see what develops.

Sorry, didn't see that.

iPoker isn't supported in the first release, but I'm adding it in the first week. I need a lot more hand histories for testing and I'll ask for them when it gets released.
