They probably figure it'll be ready soon since it's been so long .

Yes. I've done all the core functionality privately so the beta period is almost exclusively going to be debugging and adding sites. Should get to Crypto fairly quickly.

Re: New Software: PokerEV (Tracker + Coming HUD)

I bought PT3 before I realized this was competition. I am not loving PT3 yet (not hating it or anything, still getting used to it really) but I will likely buy this immediately upon release (Omaha support and prima support are just crucial. I hate having to maintain 5 programs right now: PT2, PTO, PTS, PAHUD, and PT3. Two would be much better (though in truth I never play stud anymore, so that one doesn't really count).

I'll put up a few screenshots of the HUD in the coming days.

This was one thing I wanted to ask actually. Is stud support something that's really wanted? I've had a few requests and while I've done nothing on it yet, I'll start thinking about it once this beta goes out, and maybe hire a regular player to design a set of stud stats/reports and gather suggestions to get the ball rolling.

---------------------------------------

BTW, PokerEV is still very much alive. I'm getting the HUD ready (including an offline layout system) before doing beta release. Since the HUD and tracker/database are so closely integrated, doing it this way is going to save a lot of revisions and the kind of problems that PT3 ran into.

I'll post some screenshots of the HUD and some new tracker features in the next few days.

Re: New Software: PokerEV (Tracker + Coming HUD)

Hi Phil,

Thought I would chime in here. I play alot of Razz myself, in addition to NLHE and PLO. So if you eventually add Stud support, I would use it frequently for Razz. And just like with Omaha, many of us are dying for a Next-Gen tracker for Stud too

Re: New Software: PokerEV (Tracker + Coming HUD)

I don't personally care that much about it, but if it was available I would probably pay for it.

Oh, and thank god for an off line HUD setup. The lack of that is one of the biggest things that pisses me off with PT3, though with resizable tables, I can see some of the rationale. (I actually have gone in and made a PT layout with larger tables so I can place stat boxes better).

Re: New Software: PokerEV (Tracker + Coming HUD)

Hi Phil,

One suggestion: Customizable HH output formats for html and whatever other format one can put it out to

For various forums, things such as

Code:
card output format [4 clubs]= :4c: or :4c or 4c:
and

Code:
include flop cards on turn or river
change appearance cards flop on turn or river
change flop turn or river string
and

Code:
bets in dollars, euros, other currencies, big bets, small bets
and capability to specify whatever part of the HH, such as player name, villain name, obs chat, folders etc in customizable colours

Similarly, if you can allow an end user to specify input strings for unrecognized handhistories, incompatibilities would be gone (such as break a hand down in sections, and allow a user to specify which section within current hand is which, and save this input string)
