MiniMaxMod Beta Trial v0.5

• Most sites supported*
• 6 max only
• 518x400 window size / 518x485 with chat expanded
• Trial consists of number of runs (25) & non-permanent modding

*So I really want to write "all", but I simply didn't test them all yet. The mod should be generic and it pretty much is; I tested it on Titan, Propaganda, Cardoza, NOIQ, Noble, Hansa, Green Joker, Chili, Carlos, Betfred CDpoker and VC poker. They all worked.

However some skins have their little special spazz outs:
-Chili; uncheck "chat" in gfx options.
-Green Joker/VC: uncheck menu buttons;
-Carlos; didnt let me edit color of the names so uncheck "seat" and uncheck "white text";
-Titan; use "from colored names" option.(and other skins with colored names)
-Noble decided to name one of their image files differently.(but that shouldn't be a problem now)

If you manage to install the mod (this really shouldn't be a problem anymore) you will find 2 files minimaxmod_demo and minimaxconsole.

minimaxconsole needs to be running when you are playing. It resizes the tables, it expands/contracts them when you click the expand button and it top-ups for you.

minimaxmod_demo is the actual mod installer.

So if people are gonna test this beta on skins not mentioned above I suggest follwing procedure;
Start poker client and log in. (Since this is a trial the modding will be reset with every log off form the poekrclient) Then hit "Update local layout", what this does is it copies the layout config file so you can go back if something goes wrong. You go back by checking "mod from local layout". As opposed to modding from the layout present in the pokerclient folders. So if you mod from pokerclient layout the consecutive modding attempts are incremental, whereas if you check "mod from local layout" everytime you will start off with the layout you "loaded locally".
And then try to mod it and see if the table opens up without errors. If it doesn't and you loaded a layout that did work go back to that layout and uncheck some options. Rince and repeat. If you want to have a fresh install you'll have to restart the pokerclient. There's no "reset to default" functionality at the moment.

Well, I probably forgot to mention something, but I will surely hear that once I get more feedback.

I actually meant to write Betfred there, not Carlos. Sorry. If you uncheck "seat" it won't install them black seats so you will have the default Betfred seats that are compatible with black color.


-And one other important thing;
If you don't use the "mod from current layout" dont run the mod with "re-arrange" enabled more than twice cause it will shift the seats etc twice and that will mess up the layout obv.

I am using Titan and have kept all of the default settings except I have checked the "from coloured names" option.

When it is my turn to act, the actions box is cut off so that I can see the slider and the bet pot etc buttons but the call/raise/fold buttons are missing so I can't actually call or fold. I also don't have a button to post the blinds when I join the table.

Any ideas of what I need to change?

I started Titan. My installation was 'broken' form the last time that I tested it so it downloaded all the default images/layouts. I logged in. Opend up a miniview table made sure everything looks normal. Closed the table.
Opened the minimaxmod_demo.exe. Checked the "from colored names" option like you did. Left everything else like it was. Pushed the run minimaxmo button (mod from local layout was unchecked). (the minimax console was already running)

So I'm not sure what may cause the problem. Do you use vista/xp?

Thanks for the quick response, I seem to have sorted it by ticking "mod from local layout" and unticking "re-arrange". I am running XP by the way.

First impressions are that this is a big improvement, it looks fantastic.

One quick suggestion for the final version (don't know if you have already thought about this):

The autofold button doesn't seem to work preflop (the check and check/fold buttons do work and they all seem to work post flop). This is not a problem for me as I very rarely use these buttons anyway.
