Re: New Software: Holdem Manager -1.08 (15 day trial) - (Omaha & Table Scanner) 25Apr09

What is the live tracker for?

I have not updated yet, since it seems the latest beta causes some trouble.

I already have HEM for Holdem and went to the Cardrunners page to
purchase the Omaha upgrade. It ask me for the old holdem code.
What is this and where can I find out what my old holdem code is?

Sry, noob alert***

Just bought a block of 250k hands and its taking forever to import into HEM. How long does it usually take? Does the HUD pop up while importing? Reason is cause I tried playing and the HUD does not appear. wtf?

I love SnagIt - only thing missing from it is a 'one-click upload to imageshack/photobucket'-thingy.

Unhappy how to transfer old hands to a new computer

Hi
I bought a new computer and want to put my old database on my new computer

I have read the faq but it didn't work for me I have done the pg admin III save and restore thing. and it said can't read data.Maybe because my old database doesn't use asci.

Is there a folder where they put my old archived hands, Because I know pokertracker has a folder where they store all the old handhistories in. If Hem has that too I can just copy the handhistories

HEM does move processed HHs to an archive folder, that you designated. Use the Edit button in the Configure Auto Import Options to see what folder is assigned. You can also export all the hands from your database control panel to text files. I archive both sets of files, to make sure I have everything. You may also want to backup your config folder or export your Player Notes and HUD Configs so they can be restored on the new PC.

Also, please post HEM questions in the HEM thread, instead of making new threads.

I know someone that uses HEMs HUD and it pops up as he observes. I don't want to datamine. I just want to see what data I already have. The Pokerstars people get to see the HUD before they sit. Why isn't is possible on Fulltilt? I'm forgetful, I just need to be reminded who I'm playing before I play.

Using HEM for determining reads/tendencies

How does everyone use HEM to generate reads on players? There is a lot in HEM and I'm not sure I'm running the right filters to get reads on tendencies.

#1 - Real-Time: Is there pop-up (HUD) or "Active Player Details Window" data that you use to pull up real-time what specific hands villian raises with PF vs. limps vs. CC, etc.? I got the 3bet/4bet but can't find a real-time on just openers.

#2 - Post-Analysis: How do you all use HEM to dig through your most common opponents to generate tendencies and reads?

Yes it imports tourneys but MTT ratio is not implemented yet but on the to do list

With tourneys with more than 1 table there isnt enough info in the hand histories to be able to determine things like payout structure etc so you need to import summaries for these, we can work it out on 1 table sngs but not 2+

you can backup and restore http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=12
or export and import them http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=12

The latter is slower but id export the hands just in case theres an issue restoring the database which can happen from time to time

Sorry as its against their terms and conditions to datamine we cannot discuss it here. Stars allow us to take 1 hand to attach the stats but this isnt allowed at full tilt

Yeah Roy mentioned hed look into it if there was enough interest but your talking several months at the very least before weve time

It shows pot odds and the players actions i.e bet/call/checkraise on each street

Go to the Help Menu > show serial, if you dont see that you need to update to the newest version

should tell you how many hands per second and you can work it out, you cant see the hud until it finishes that import

The beta now supports Cake, does that mean we get mucked cards @showdown during live play?

This may be better asked in the sub-forum for the particular stakes/game you play. A lot of it is learned naturally after playing thousands of hands with the stats. The included Articles in HEM may also be helpful.

I would doubt it, considering the HUD will not be working while playing on Cake.
