Re: New Software: Holdem Manager - 1.05.08 - 24-May-2008

I apologize if this stuff has been answered before. If so, can someone link me to it?

I got a new computer with Vista 64 and two hard drives. Things I intend to do if possible, but I dont know how:

- export my hand database from my old computer to a file that I can put on my new computer

- put HEM on the fast hard drive on my new computer and have it store hands on the other hard drive (the bigger one) - is that possible?

- as the new computer does not have postgresql yet, what version of that should I download - just the one that comes with the full version of HEM?

- when I set this up, does it matter which hard drive the raw hands from the poker sites go to?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Ahhhh.......
I'm so stupid.
For some reason, I was thinking of 'EV $ diff' as 'EV $.'
Thanks for the clarification.

I will check later, but I doubt it added much for me, at least. I only made one new panel, for villains hands.

I never paid close attention to resources before, so I cant really say if it is using more or less now, but I have never had a lag/crash yet - from HM using too many resources. IIRC back when I was testing PT3 at the same time (couple months ago now), HM and PT3 both rarely used more than 40MB of RAM while importing, and similar numbers for the HMHUD. I used to run HM(and HUD)/PT3/PT2/POHUD all at the same time.

I often forget HM is even running after my session, and notice later in my Sys Tray.

Is 2G of RAM is more than enough? I can upgrade to 2 GB more of RAM. I have a **** load of panels. I'll post my layout in a sec with my layout. I'm always auto centered so the player's stats in the middle seat is screwed up because I could care less (I'll be sitting there)

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager - 1.05.08 - 24-May-2008

I have a $700 tower thats 18 months old, I bought from circuit city (Gateway GT5228). Duo-Core AMD 4200+, 2GB RAM.

I can run all my poker software, winamp, browser, photoshop, illustrator, all at the same time - and not notice any performance hit. I am sure my PC is working hard to do it all, but I never notice it.

Why so many panels?? Post a pic, here or in the HM HUD Layouts thread when you get time.

Imageshack suxx so bad.

Use the 'Direct Link' on Imageshack, and then the Insert Image Widget when posting here.

WOW... do you need the abbrev's?

When multi-tabling, I don't want to make an idiotic mistake like misinterpreting one stat for another. Once I get used to the layout, I'll take it off.

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager - 1.05.08 - 24-May-2008

stupid question:

I've had HEM importing for a while and I had it minimized to the system tray. However, it suddenly completely disappeared from the icon area. I know it's still running though because I see it in the task manager and when I try to open it using the shortcut or whatever, it says it is already running. Is there some way to access the running program? I feel retarded.

How many actual panels is that?? I would have to assume you can group them better, somehow - so you might be able to use less panels??

Would you like me to photoshop your stat abbrev's onto your table for you?? then you can just have a template on screen, and turn off the stat abbrev's in HUD?

We should probably move this discussion to the HM HUD Layouts thread, so we dont clog up this one more.

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager - 1.05.08 - 24-May-2008

v1.05.08g, just updated

When I hover over the HUD/steal atts, the pop-up doesn't show the steal stats. When I look in the Pop-Up config is should show the 'Default-Steal' popup, but it's nothing close to the actual stats I'm seeing. It's showing 'Post Flop/Missed Aggression' and 'Vs Missed CB.'

The 'Default-Steal' pop-up template seems to be correct.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem is ?

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager - 1.05.08 - 24-May-2008

I'm having a bit of trouble with importing from LuckyAce, I have the newest versions of both HEM and the Pacific Poker Handgrabber.

The HUD is working fine but when I go to review the session or try to see my graph etc, it seems that HEM has not registered any of the hand histories - the stats for my LuckyAce alias are completely blank.

HEM is set to import the files directly from the Handgrabber folder, but it doesn't seem to recognise the txt files as hand histories. If I try to directly import a single hand history file from the Handgrabber History folder, it says "Found 0 files to process"...
