Re: New Software: Holdem Manager - 1.05.07 - 15-May-2008

* I think there are bugs in the hand replayer. When I select a hand and choose to replay it, the replayer window cannot pop up. Instead, there is a rectangle with some vague stats in it shown up on the top left corner of my screen. When I click on those stats, sometimes the hand history window pops up (not the replayer), sometimes there is nothing. Are you aware of this problem ?

* Do you have any plan for adding table selection to HM ? Today I've tried PT3 and their table selection seems really nice (but with a monthly fee though).

Thanks to the unlimited trial version, I am about to buy HM soon. I especially like the report, the hand replayer (but it is terribly slow) and the HUD integrated with player notes.

This sometimes happens to me too.

Your stats will only show session stats but all the other players should have their overall stats being shown.

Pretty sure I already fixed this in the current development build

We'll see - There are already 3rd party table trackers dedicated to doing this and they work with HM (Spade Eye and pretty sure Sixth Sense works too) but like everything, if there is a demand for it then I'll consider adding it.

How many hands do you have? Some of the filters require HM to start joining together many tables which can be time consuming if you have a big DB. It is one of those things though where a few minutes could expose something that could save you or make you a ton of money.

Regarding 1.05.08, not going to be released today. Still have a bit more to do and a bunch of testing since the hud will now support all of the popup stats in the main view + added squeeze and bet % by street and more. There is a conversion process for the old format so need to make sure everything is solid.

wtf does it mean when it says "1 of 9 parts of large file have been processed" after i select auto-import. it appears to be an incredibly long process that needs to be performed every time prior to importing hands, even if it's just 5 or 10 HHs. wtf i dont get it, this is way slower than PT2.

Roy,

If you double click a name in the players tab, it brings up there general player card. I was wondering if, in the preflop cards section of that tab, there was any way you could have the individual hands link to the actual HHs associated with that stat? So if I click on QQ under player x's 4bet hands section, I can pull up all those hands right away.

According to pgAdmin I have just over 3 million rows in my handhistories table (I assume that's how you can tell?). I don't mind the performance slowdown when I'm working with the entire data set, but since only about 200k of those hands are ones I've actually played, the ability to segregate datamined vs played hands into different databases would be nice so that the overhead involved in datamining doesn't negatively affect performance when I'm trying to analyze my play.

How would I go about doing this, or any other method to get the total hands count for my DB?

Re: New Software: Holdem Manager - 1.05.07 - 15-May-2008

Quick question. After reading a million pages here, haven't found the answer...
When I'm at a table, after the hand is completed, HM will show the mucked cards and the tabled cards across the top just under the cashiers tray. But this only happens a few times, about 1 in say 10. Is it something I am doing wrong? (such as setting?)

I am REAL new to this type of software and just happy I got it installed!

Thanks!

It will only show 'Opponents Known Hole Cards' for 'Hands that go to ShowDown. Not every hand goes to Showdown and has known hole cards.

Ok guys, I have holdem manager installed. Where can I find out which stats are important on the HUD and what they mean? This thread as gotten extremely long and I have no idea what to search for.

When can we see opponent's hole cards in all of the hands sections? Its a pain to have to open each hand in the replayer just to see the opponent's hand.

There are a few ways. This one is educational

Open pgAdmin, doubleclick the "localhost server" so the red X goes away. Select your HM database in the treeview.

Do "Tools -> Query Tool" (or click the "SQL" icon in the toolbar).

enter this in the top section of the query window:
Code:
SELECT COUNT(pokerhand_id) as hands FROM handhistories;
Then do "Query -> Execute" (or click the "play" icon, or hit F5).
It will grind the disk for a little then spit out a number in the lower pane of the query tool if all has gone well

Ty for the walk thru dave. I have always been to scared to poke around in PGAdmin, and too lazy/busy to bother starting to learn. That might be the catalyst I needed.
