Did you ever import those hands from other players into the problem database? This can cause HUD problems which can be the most severe if these players are ever at your tables.

Other hero hands (hands that aren't yours but all hole cards are known) should never be imported to the database you play with. You should create a separate coaching/review database for importing these files/hands to that you don't use when playing.

Hopefully a new database, without any of those hands that aren't your own, will solve the problem. If not then send us the two sets of logs I mentioned (one when HUD is working fine and one after importing the edited file and duplicating the problem) on a support ticket and we can try to find out what is happening.

You should never really have to reformat to solve the problems you mentioned. A new database would normally solve it or at worst case a settings reset, postgresql reinstall or clean HM2 reinstall (have to nuke the \Users folders and files for HM2 to be a truly clean reinstall).

HM2 is going really slow for me all of a sudden. It is simply like turtle speed slowing everything down, even when simply opening the application.

I have restarted my computer a few times and even when it is the first thing i open, it makes everything extremely slow, unworkable to be more precise.

I have noticed my notecaddy slowing down lately. That is really the only premonition I had to this happening. I have even vacuumed the database or whatever, as suggested by notecaddy. I think i have done this twice recently.

My database contains about 900k hands i believe, maybe a bit over a million now that i have imported some from Bovada using the Bovada converter(this software has its own thread in Commercial Software forum)

for instance though, today when i opened HM2, look at the memory it started eating up, and again, i wasn't even importing or running NoteCaddy at the time:

ok, so basically open HM2 and then follow those instructions on the first link? Because again, I just tried opening HM2 and it was running very slow. It loaded pretty quickly but when i hit import hands it went back into super slow mode(unresponsive).

Also, i had a ton of postgres.exe in my processes, this does not seem normal.

That many postgres processes is completely normal. Please send a log file via a support ticket. There is nothing more we can do to help with this problem without at least seeing your \HM2Logs folder.

How much free space do you have on your system/C drive and how big is the database according to the HM2 > Database > Database Info menu? You generally need more than twice as much free space as your database is big according to that menu and you should always have at least 20% free space. Please see this FAQ - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+of+Disk+Space

Please see this FAQ to clear up some more free space - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+of+Disk+Space

Try emptying c:\temp and/or c:\users\username\appdata\local\temp. You will need to show system and hidden files. See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+

If you continue to have problems you can try moving the windows temp directories that we use for these database procedures to another drive that has more free space - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/gene...t-working.html

Also, make sure that the permissions settings are not blocking the necessary files/folders. Please see this FAQ to alleviate any security bottlenecks - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...olders+HM2+use

If you continue to have problems:

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'DBControlPanel' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps.

You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ging#startmenu

Please reproduce the problem and attach your log.txt file with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

Please zip and email the requested file via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - with a link to this thread and your forum name.

I found your ticket and will take a look at the logs a bit later this morning after I get some caffeine in me. I may not reply until mid-day if I need to discuss it with some of the others that are not online yet.

For older tournaments email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Audit Files in .htm format. They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder and then manually import those files by going to the Importing option in the HM Ribbon menu and choosing import from folders in the manual import section. You may see import errors as some of these hands are probably already imported.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments and repeat the process of importing all the files. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions otherwise they will not import. You can view this FAQ for more information on importing emailed hand histories:

Hi, I am trying to setup HM2 for the first time I have a yellow triangle next to Poker Stars, The HUD Doesn't show up, except the there is a double HM2 task bar at the top of left of the table. How do I fix this?

Also, on WPN the Site Setup is green ticked, but at the table im playing the HM2 tool bar shows up saying "Waiting for hands...?" the Active session is detecting the table, but no HUD is showing up.

Make sure your site is configured to save hands and that HM2 is setup to auto import those hands - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...20Setup%20Info

If you have more than one stars client installed you need to make sure they are all configured the same to save the hands. If you have some installed you dont use you should uninstall them and delete the associated C:\UserName\fozzy71\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders.

If you continue to have problems: Try creating a new folder on your computer such as C:\StarsHands and C:\StarsTourneys then configure PokerStars to save the hands/results here in their Options > Instant Hand History menu and setup HM2 to Auto Import from here in the Site Setup menu.

*Note that we do not support play money hands so you must test/play real money hands when using HM2 - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ay+Money+Hands

Make sure the poker client and hand histories are both in English. If it is not, you need to change it in the Lobby Options or reinstall the software and choose English.

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ime+Adjustment

Please see this FAQ on how to use table finder if you are playing regular non-zoom type tables - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+not+appear%3F

If you continue to have problems:

Please follow the instructions in the following FAQ and reply back with the answers to the 12 questions in that FAQ. Those answers should help us quickly identify your issue, skipping questions will just mean we have to ask again in the next email and will delay the resolution of the issue - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...es+not+work%3F

I have went thru steps got to 9, created a new database, then on step 10, table finder does not show any sessions in the list to drag over the table. Also the HUD toolbar is doubled on my real money table, and follows the table if I move it around the screen.

There is a * on the most left tab In the Open Tables Detected. It is showing my table name there, I clicked on it and a message saying HM2 error had to close so I sent the report.

Please email the answers/details as instructed in the previous post along with the follow extra logging. This thread is for quick questions/answers and anything more complex needs to be handled via a support ticket:

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu.

Please reproduce the problem and:
- Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
- Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
- Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
- Close HM2 and attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue, if all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

Please zip and email the requested files via the 'Contact Support' link and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. Our crash log auto-responders are not working since the move to the new support ticket system so you should manually email us a crash log:

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

Screw this, this is too much hastle for a free trial, let alone spend $100 on. I'm sticking with PT4 it works fine, I only wanted HM2 for the rotate HUD feature for sites w/out preferred seating and only "sit me here" feature.

Arent you guys merged anyways? whens the software crossover comeout?

If you create a support ticket with the answers to the questions and/or logs we can help you to get it running. We are just limited in what we can do here in this thread due to the nature of the mega-thread and forum rules.

The companies are owned by the same parent company but there are no plans to merge the software or create a crossover. The 2 products and development/support teams remain independent. You can learn more about the merger here.

Which site/games are you playing? If it is Microgaming it is a known issue and you will need to use the Reports > More Reports > Sessions report instead instead when playing.

Are you using an alias to join multiple screen names together in the reports? If you choose your screen name instead of the alias name does it work properly? Does it help if you disable the Options > Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous > [ ] 'Automatically Refresh' option and restart HM2?

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ime+Adjustment

Make sure the poker client and hand histories are both in English. If it is not, you need to change it in the Lobby Options or reinstall the software and choose English.
