Configure it to auto import hands and test it. If you have any problems I can't help further as we no longer provide tech support for HM1.

I do not have an estimate for when this issue will be resolved. We do not give estimates until it has been confirmed as fixed by our internal testers and the release is imminent.

I will bump HM-8726, assuming that is the one you are referring to, so we can try and get it expedited but all issues were bumped down in priority due to the recent Tilt/Stars/Zoom updates and to make time to become compliant with the Amaya Third Party Tools Rules changes.

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - and include "Notify Me When HM-8726 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

When starting HEM2 I consistently get it failing to load properly. The mouse indicates it is still loading when I select the program, but it never fully loads. I then have to ctrl+alt+del to end the program and the 2nd time I start HEM2 it works fine.

Please update to the latest beta version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

After downloading, right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator to complete the reinstall.

If you continue to have problems:

Please try a clean install of HM2. This will preserve your database and backup your HUD and settings.

Step 1 – Restore Default Settings:
First try restoring your default settings, often some settings files can become corrupt and cause these issues:
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...fault+settings

Step 2 – Uninstall and reinstall HM2 with Revo uninstaller:
Other times critical system files may not have been installed on previous updates and it can also cause these types of errors or in some cases antiviruses may have removed files that it mistook for unsafe. Doing a revo uninstall also removes old registry file information which might have become corrupt. You can download the free version here: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_..._download.html and there is a useful tutorial how to use it here:
http://www.guidingtech.com/457/revo-uninstaller/

Uninstall Holdem Manager 2 via Revo unistaller and then reinstall this version:
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...er_2_Setup.exe

Please add this file to your firewall and antivirus exceptions and run it as Administrator.

Step 3 – Follow the steps in this FAQ:
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...olders+HM2+use

Step 4: If the default settings work, please use the FAQ in step 1 to restore your settings and test them.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and attach your \HM2Logs folder -

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...dem+Manager%3F

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency.

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.

2) Delete the \PostgreSQL\X.x\data folder that is left behind.

3) Delete the sub-folder(s) in c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\HoldemManager\Da tabase (XP - c:\documents and settings\username\application data\HoldemManager\Database).

4) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

net user postgres /delete

After you click 'Enter' for the code above also do that same for this code:

sc delete postgresql-8.4

and click 'Enter' again.

5) Restart your PC

6) Install PostgreSQL 9.0 or 9.2 from postgresql.org

7) Once installed you should disable the postgresql logging as instructed here - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...arge+Log+Files

- Please export your HUD's in HUD Settings.
- Create a backup of your settings - hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2511/Create+a+Backup+and+restore+default+settings

- Please delete everything in
Win7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
XP: c:\documents and settings\username\application data\HoldemManager

- Showing hidden files: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+

- Uninstall HM2 and then Reinstall HM2 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...er_2_Setup.exe

- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

Your windows user name or postgresql user name? I don't think the windows user name would affect this but I am no postgresql expert. It is probably best if you email us a log file with a link to this thread and your forum name so we can forward it to one of our part time techs that knows postgresql better than I.

Please zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you are trying to accomplish and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

HM2 Log files? I do not have it installed currently.

Let me reiterate.

I would like to delete everything postgresql and hm2 related (I do not need any historical data or settings), a complete wipe is preferred.

I just want to know all the folder locations i need to delete and things i need to uninstall to do so.

Then simply use the link above to send us a support ticket/email with a link to your post above and your forum name and ask that we forward your post to one of our postgresql experts so they can reply and work with you.

Also let them know if postgresql shows up in your control panel > programs list and your control panel > administrative tools > services as it may be possible that it is already uninstalled and my original reply had some extra steps that were unnecessary given the state of your computer.

Hello,

Would I have any issues runing both Pt4 at the same time?
I.e I want to use PT4 for 1 site and HM2 for another

I have already purchased HM2 some years ago and have it on an old computer, I am wondering how to put it on my new computer, I see 2 options for download on the site, i am not sure which one to use. I.e this isnt a first time install(but it would be on my current computer), Im not sure if the last option counts 2nd computers?

For some reason I can't log on to the HM forums so posting here:

Today I was playing on Ipoker (skin MyBet Poker) while all of a sudden I can no longer see the HUD on my tables, the hud window just says waiting for hands. I'm using HM2 and this is for plo. This literally happened midsession and I haven't changed anything (it's worked fine before). When I go to the active session tab in HM it shows the tables I have open, but if I click on table finder the popup window shows some old tables.

Edit: Something is wrong with importing, the new hands I'm playing won't show up in the active session tab nor the reports tab. It's odd because like I said this literally happened midsession so I haven't changed nay settings.

I personally do not recommend running (importing to) both at the same time as I think it could cause possibly issues if you are importing to two different databases at the same time but many people do it without issue.

If it has never been installed on the current computer you want the first link.

My alias is correctly chosen and I haven't changed the offset time setting - like I said, the problems started midsession today. A computer restart hasn't helped. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...29#maintenance

If you continue to have problems, try the following:

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...y+played+hands

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...onfigs+work%3F

If none of the above steps helped please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

Please zip and email the requested files via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

Also attach a few hands from the hand history folder or archive folder as well. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

Please update to the latest beta version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

After downloading, right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator to complete the reinstall.

Make sure you always start HM2 first before you open the PokerStars Client. If you closed PokerStars for any reason and did not close HM2 please close them both and start HM2 before you start PokerStars again.

IMPORTANT Zoom Installation Instructions:
On the first run, you must start the Hold'em Manager 2 HUD BEFORE you launch PokerStars. If PokerStars is open, you must close PokerStars, start the HUD and then open PokerStars before Zoom HUD will function properly. If the Zoom HUD is not displaying after doing the above, please uninstall PokerStars, delete the associated C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders. and re-download and install PokerStars as the PokerStars installation is more than likely corrupted and a PokerStars reinstall should resolve the issue.

Please check all of the steps on this FAQ - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rs+Zoom+Tables

If you continue to have problems please tell us which ps.xx skin you play on, what the client/server version numbers are, and send the requested files/screenshots as instructed at the end of the FAQ in the link above.

Thanks for this. I made a new database and it works. After that I switched to the old one, and it worked for a bit but after a while importing stopped working.

So, if I now use the new db, what's the easiest way to get my hands+notes back? Firstly, I've used your cloud service a couple months or so ago - will that be of any help? Secondly, I think I have most of the hands I've ever played in the HM2 archive, but obviously I won't get player notes from the hh's - would it be possible to extract those from the old db and then import them in the new one?

The HM Sync Beta feature only syncs hands. It does not sync tournament results well and does not sync hand/player notes. The only way to recover those is to restore them from a backup. If the old database can be connected to, even if you can't see all your hands in the reports, you should be able to create a backup the player/hand notes that can then be restored to your new database that you import your archived hands to.

Here is our FAQ on how to backup just the player/hand notes and skip the database.

If you are missing any hands from there for any reason and you play a site like stars/ftp/party you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney histories/results.

No you should not, that is why it is automatically unchecked.

FYI when you launch HM2 you likely won't be able to connect using our default postgresql password since theirs is different:

PT4's default name/password is - postgres/dbpass
HM's default name/password is - postgres/postgrespass

You might also want to try svcPASS83 for a password if none of the above works.

If that doesnt help:

1. Go to C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.x\data, move the the pg_hba file to your Desktop and open it with notepad.
2. Scroll to the bottom and change all md5 to trust. Save and close the file
3. Move the file back to the data folder
4. Restart the PostgreSQL service: Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

HM will accept any password now.

Hi there,

I downloaded the HM trial to have a look at the software. And I noticed that there is no offline mode. I found some threads starting in 2013(!) complaining about the issue. All that came back were some lame excuses on scheduling issues. Is there an ETA on when HM can be used offline? I mean...if a development team cannot solve such a simple problem in over 2 years...why should I put any trust in the rest of the programming? Especially knowing that PT4 and HM are made by the same company and you basically have a blueprint for the solution in-house...

tldr: I'm confused how such a minor issue (using HM offline) is still not solved after such a long time...

PT4 uses a completely different licensing system since we were not owned by the same company when each software was developed. You should be able to use HM2 for up to 14 days if you have a license but this offline mode does not work during the trial period. If you want to test this before making a purchase (we do have a 30 day no questions asked refund period you could also use to be sure this works) please email your account details and trial request (with the reason for the request) to us via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - and tell them that Fozzy71 on 2+2 said we would give you the trial code manually to test this offline mode feature.

My HM2 is freezing/not responding constantly. Happens >50% i click a popup. Will happen randomly atleast every 30 minutes. Below is a timeline of issues and what steps I've tried to fix it. If you need any more info please let me know.

Same computer I've been using for months. 8 RAM, SSD. Only recent addition is stack and tile. But HM2 was fine for a week and I've tried it without SaT running and get same issues.

First problem was in middle of session HUD stopped working on some tables. Restart HM2, same thing happening. Restart computer, same issue.

Export HHs, make new database, use new DB. Problem solved, HUD works fine!

HM2 starts freezing alot. New DB smaller than old one. Optimized and full vacuumed. Maybe this one is just bad so lets try making a new DB. Same steps, same problems

Update to most recent version. Roll back to older versions. All same issue. Uninstall/Re-instal HM2.

Try without stack and tile running. Try without anything at all running but WPN and HM2. Shut down all non-essentials running in background.

So far nothing has fixed it or made problem any better.

Are you running Notecaddy also and do you have many definitions or use any of the NC Edge or NC Advantage packages? Those can also have an impact on large database with large definitions.
If you do I would suggest reading this thread which will help improve the performance when using NC:
http://wiki.assaultware.com/NoteCadd...provement.ashx

You can also try the steps in the following AJA Performance Guide - http://www.notecaddy.com/NoteCaddy%2...ide%20v1.2.pdf

Please check these 2 FAQs and try all the steps there to see if they help:
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29 - Resolves issues where security software continually try to scan files and processes which can slow down your PC
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rts+%26+HUD%29 - General tips and solutions for performance issues

A few other things you could try to see if it helps when playing:
- Does it help you disable the Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous > [ ] 'Automatically Refresh' option and restart HM2?
- Try leaving HM2 on the 'Home' tab when playing.
- Try picking a villain in the reports that only has a few hands in your database instead of your hero and restart HM2.
- Try creating a new smaller database with just hands from the past 1 or 2 months to use when playing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...y+played+hands

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and attach your new \HM2logs folder -
