Please update to this version
http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...AutoUpdate.exe

Which ps.xx skin do you play on and what are the client/server version numbers?

Make sure you always start HM2 first before you open the PokerStars Client. If you closed PokerStars for any reason and did not close HM2 please close them both and start HM2 before you start PokerStars again.

IMPORTANT Zoom Installation Instructions:
On the first run, you must start the Hold'em Manager 2 HUD BEFORE you launch PokerStars. If PokerStars is open, you must close PokerStars, start the HUD and then open PokerStars before Zoom HUD will function properly. If the Zoom HUD is not displaying after doing the above, please uninstall PokerStars, delete the associated C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders. and re-download and install PokerStars as the PokerStars installation is more than likely corrupted and a PokerStars reinstall should resolve the issue.

Please check all of the steps on this FAQ - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rs+Zoom+Tables

If you continue to have problems please send the requested files/screenshots as instructed at the end of the FAQ in the link above.

for the past few weeks HEM is causing huge cpu usage spikes and audio distortion on my comp (usually have a twitch stream up in the background). ive just done a fresh w10 re-install yesterday and cut my db from 700k down to 350kish hands and the problem still exists.

ive found a ghetto fix by limiting available threads in task manager to 1/2 or less to HEM and seems to fix the problem but im pretty sure some update in recent weeks wrt to the recent 3rd party changes has hm2 not as well optimized as before.

have any suggestion for a better fix? currently running a 4790k oc'd to 4.5 16gb ram, ssd.

How often is one suppose to purge their HEM2 database? I have used HEM1 and HEM2 and never have done this. If one done this, how long does it take normally? Also does that mean once you do this, you would be deleting a lot of hand histories? If so, how far does it delete to? I don't really care about HH but i would want to look at my tournament summary.

Reason i ask is because i'm using Tableoptimizer and it lags a lot when using with HEM2. I had no issues with HEM2 with TN1. I did have a bit of lag issues with HEM2 with TN2.

Those changes only affected a few HUD features so I would be surprised if they were the cause of your problems as no one else is reporting similar issues and many of our customers stream music or podcasts while playing.

Make sure all your audio drivers are updated.

1 - Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).
2 - Update your graphics drivers - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...hicsCardDriver
3 - Enable desktop composition - http://windows7support247.blogspot.c...mposition.html
4 - Set desktop to an aero theme:
- W7 - http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2...o-windows.html
- W8 - http://www.howtogeek.com/128630/how-...-in-windows-8/
5 - Update Logitech Setpoint if you have it installed - http://www.logitech.com/en-us/584/3131

If you continue to have problems, please duplicate the issue and send us log files with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing:
- Open Windows Event Viewer's - Windows Logs - Applications.
- Check for any errors and send the information (Save All Events As...).
- Please send a log file as well - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

Purging hands will delete the hands and results/summaries. Many people will frequently purge the database they use when playing and only keep the last 3 - 6 months worth of hands and keep a separate lifetime database they manually import hands from their archive folder to periodically. You should also vacuum your database at least one a month, more often if you play a high volume number of hands.

This is a known issue. HM2 can only support 125% (or less in some instances) of DPI Scaling.

1. Make sure your poker client is closed and right-click on the shortcut icon for the client.
2. Select "Properties" on the menu that pops up.
3. Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
4. Under Settings, put a check in the box labeled "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."
5. Use the "Apply" button to save this information.

Use the following instructions to do the same for Holdem Manager - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...g+DPI+settings

This is a known issue with some hand history formats and being worked on as part of our efforts to synchronize all of our parsers in the future but there is no ETA for when that project will be completed.

Try the reports > right-click > view > export to forum format (bottom right area of hand history viewer) > 2+2 if you want to post the hands to this forum.

Just sent e-mail with files. Now HUD sometimes is not working at all if I select 8 players in HUD menu. And almost all 9max MTTs is now 8max, hope you can fix this soon.

Thanks.

Will purging hands from my database completely delete them?
I want to get rid of a big portion of my db, i am wondering if it would be easier to save the small part and wipe everything.

I have purged older hh´s a few times but it "seems" i havent saved much ssd space.

I usually find it easier to export the hands I want to keep and import them into a new database.

There is no 'report' for this. There are filters that can accomplish it though.

reports > more reports > overall

more filters > basic filters > position and action:
- hero's position = [x] small blind
- preflop action facing hero = [x] 1 raiser + raiser + caller(s) + 2 raisers

hole card filters > [x] holdem > 'select none' > pocket pairs = on

This poster is correct:

except there is no reason to export hands since all the original hands that were auto imported are stored in the archive folder.

When purging the bulk of your database it is best to simply create a new database, import the hands you want to save from your archive, then delete the old database.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data if you want a copy of the database/settings before you delete it:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...dem+Manager%3F

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency.

Open HUD Settings, make sure you are on the HUD Designer tab, and uncheck "Show Caddy notes in HUD." Restart HM2.
