Auto importing on the manager is not really necesary though with HM. You will have close to real-time update of stats on the HUD without the performance hit of constantly writing to and querying the DB.
Sounds neat. I'll definitely be checking out your beta tomorrow.
There's no HUD with this beta, right?
That is correct. A temporary usable HUD will be added soon while I finish working on the real HUD.

So if I understand this correctly, there won't be any iPoker support in the public beta?

this is correct, however, due to the wonderfully standardised and modudlar system that RVG has designed to support HHs, it should be relatively easy to make support available to other sites soon after the beta.

once you get the database structure and progam design right, it should be easy to get the standardised hands from any site to work

This is exactly why trains and planes leave at 1159pm and 1201am.

But yeah, if I was planning on releasing something during the last minute of the 15th, I would have said the release day was the 16th. Especially since 90% of the world will already be at least an hour into the 16th when the release actually happens.

I know a guy who knows a guy that can get things. If you release it now I'll hook you up with him.

Well I'll get it out as soon as I can! The plan is to have a relase candidate this afternoon sent to all the private beta testers and a few other people that have made a lot of suggestion posts on my forums.

I imagine a few things will come up that will need to be fixed but once everyone is reasonably happy with it then it will be launch time - I still think that will be late tonight though.

And sorry about the confusion - I always meant Sunday 11:59pm but I can see how "midnight" can be misleading.

Here in the states when something is released at midnight - say a record album at midnight on Tues the 17th - that means midnight Mon/Tues. Midnight is the start of the day - not the end.

Whats the over/under for how long til his servers crash tonight from all of us downloading his app at 12:01 .

About 30 seconds...and I'll take the under.

PS. I'll be glad to act as a backup server for a few days. PM me if interested.

First person to download it should just create a Torrent file.

The download from my site is only about 2MB (plus .NET Framework 2.0 and PostgreSQL installation if you don't have those) so hopefully it will be quick for people. I do have a plan B and a plan C though just in case

Edit: ok, back to work. I probably won't be checking back into the thread for at least a couple of hours - I'm trying to make the whole PostgreSQL install / configure as painless as possible right now.

How do we check to see if we have .NET 2.0? I "think" I already do.

I never converted PT to SQL - How do I go about installing SQL for the first time?

This is very important, and many people have come and gone trying to create an XML standard for HHs. Hopefully Holdem Manager is able to accomplish this because it is a huge development.

Add/Remove programs.
Look for -> "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0".

Try the PT forums. I haven't done this myself, but will do it when I get home later tonight.
