Re: Holdem Manager: 1.10.02 Official Release (15 day trial) (Omaha & Table Scanner/Tracker)

say u have a bunch of hands in a folder. normally u can import from that folder, stop the import, import from the folder again and itll only do the ones unimported.

however for 'large files' it seems to repeat the whole process and goes through them all again. is there a way to stop this? i exported all hands from my old database and am reimporting them, but have to stop now and then to play or turn computer off etc. i didnt realise this was happening till then. it means i've been importing the same stuff over and over probably and that's why it's taking so long!!!

Filter bug in holdem manager

Whilst using the filter settings noticed a few things. I go to preflop cards tab and the default is all cards. I filter for the button and select k9 off. It shows 122 hands with a loss of $-4.71. However if I unselect the button tab and select the button again it now shows 26 hands for a loss of $1.28 for k9 off. No other options changed

What happens with licenses for HM Apps when you reset your Holdem Manager license via the registration system?

What do I have to do when I get a new computer and want to keep my HM Apps?

You will need to mark them from the Hands tab via the right-click menu.

I always recommend importing your original files from your \HMArchive first. Those files are usually smaller size and will import faster. Then when you import the exported hands, to be sure you havent missed any hands, it will go thru the big files much faster as many of the hands were imported from the archive already.

You should be breaking up the files into smaller sub-folder groups so you can let it finish an import completely and then import another folder later. I recommend doing them in groups that can be imported while you sleep. Then you can perform a DB vacuum the next day, play poker, and import again before bed. If one of those large files has been completely imported it should be skipped the next time. If you stop the import while it is processing a large file it will process that large file again, until it is sure all hands within it are imported.

I was not able to reproduce this using my DB. Can you start a new thread on our forums with some screen shots? I will try again to duplicate it and can ask my co-workers to do the same.

Is there any way to use HEM while offline? If not, this would be a really desirable feature even if only for a limited time since your last connection to the HEM servers for the sake of rights management. Sometimes when I don't have internet access available I'd love to work on studying and improving my game, but that seems to be currently impossible to do with HEM. Obviously no import/HUD functionality would be necessary.

Normally you only need to register and then you can work offline no problem, a small few people had issues with this and Roy logged in but couldnt find out what was causing the issue and couldn't replicate it on other PC's. Some things you can try that might help

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

First of all, we need to enable the option to see Hidden Files: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...ial62.html]How to see hidden files in Windows

Problems Registering Holdem Manager:

1. Delete C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\holdemmanager.exe.ldat (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)

2. Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

3. Update to the latest beta - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Also please try this:

1. Update to http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug.txt
3. Open HM and register
4. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file
5. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...oldem+Manager- I Can't Activate & Register Holdem Manager (check the proxy settings)

6. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...o+Uninstaller+ - Using Revo Uninstaller (uninstall HM with Revo FREE and reinstall it)

Re: Holdem Manager: 1.10.02 Official Release (15 day trial) (Omaha & Table Scanner/Tracker)

morny,

I tried every step in that process - besides the final #6 (completely uninstall/reinstalling with Revo) and nothing changed. When I click off my internet connection, HEM stays on "Validating.." for a moment and then goes to the "Activate Your Software" window. With internet enabled, there are no problems - it happily validates and I can use it just fine.

As for my setup: vista, windows built in firewall, avira antivirus

whenever i start multitabling with my HUD on, the stats are all over the place because the way pokerstars seating works is rather weird. i was wondering how i could fix this issue.

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing position files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref.txt and pospref2.txt, and pospref4.txt.
4) configure your poker client preferred seating and seating preferences in HM accordingly
5) Setup HUD pre-fetch: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=29 (if on stars or ftp)
6) open one cash Table and adjust the HUD while observing. Move the stats with the right mouse key to the correct positions.
7) Then sit and play at least one hand so you can make sure the hero hud is positioned properly.
8) Table manager -> File -> Save positions
9) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats being moved to the correct positions.

Hi I had a question regarding filtering by stakes for Tourneys.

Is there any way I can filter hands in my report by stakes (so I can see my tendencies with BB30,BB60 etc for a buyin level).

Thanks,

tastychicken

Re: Holdem Manager: 1.10.02 Official Release (15 day trial) (Omaha & Table Scanner/Tracker)

Is it possible to have two installations of HEM on the same computer? Depending on my needs, I want to use a different DB, have a different HUD layout, have different notes and note coloring schemes. It seems like it's easier to have a second installation on the same machine (so all I would have to do is double-click the second HEM icon). Rather than manually changing the DB and swapping config files every time I want to use HEM.

If the answer is "no", what are the config files I need to swap over? Thanks.
