Re: Holdem Manager Support

Hi, I'm having some trouble getting my HH imported with microgaming, Prima. I used the trial for a month no problem at all with it auto importing, then sent my laptop off to be fixed and bought the full version. I have played about 500 hands and only 69 of them have been imported and now it's not importing any at all. I've been through the steps on the FAQ and can't seem to sort it out.

They are no longer writing hands from the point you don't contribute to the pot so we can no longer support these cash game hands - http://www.mpn.poker/blog/closing-a-few-loopholes/

Microgaming has made a decision to not provide cash game customers with all hand histories for games they are seated in. Even though a Microgaming cash game player has posted blinds for the round, they will now only provide customers with a hand history if the customer directly contributed to a pot. We are no longer importing Microgaming cash game hand histories because many stats are significantly skewed as a result of the Microgaming decision to not provide hand histories on all cash game hands. We will continue to support Microgaming tournaments as all players are provided with complete hand histories.

See this forum thread/post for more details about these changes - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/gene...ml#post2485729

Yes, on cash tables. The link at the end of the post you quoted goes into more detail about why we chose to disable import of these hands. The only option is to use an older HM2 build which you can download from here but the stats will be skewed and unreliable.

that is a pretty strange decision you have made, as I can imagine a lot of players including me would like to continue using HUD based on the stats we already have in our database and obviously we want to import the hands we are going to play into our database so that we can track our results

Are you still on 8470 or did you rollback to 8454 to be able to still import your prima hands? We fixed this problem in a beta after 8454 and at least one other customer reported it wasn't completely fixed and sent us some hands. The developers say the hands he sent are actually a new/different issue that is related to bad, or different than normally formatted, hands from ipoker.

Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link and reference HM-8837. That is the previous internal issues ticket number but we will have to write a new ticket with your hands, and the issues the other customer reported, if they are related.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth e.g C:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31 or if it was auto-imported with v7283+ it would be in C:\HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email.

Installing a patch to an older version should never wipe your settings. Those are stored in the \users directory and the installers/patches only place files into \program files (x86).

That being said: This is why regular backups are a good idea. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup. Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step.

8454 can be downloaded from our releases forum here.

Since it is the official release it is also on our main site's downloads page.

The hardaction77 parsing bug fix was not released until 8465 which you can download here.

Please see this section of the Windows FAQ and reset your Winsock Adapter.

If you continue to have problems:

This is most likely due to missing Windows Time Zones. Please see this FAQ and restore them all back:

For XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555537

For 7: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ime-zones.html

For Win 10 - http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2...dows-10-a.html

If none of that helps:

Please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

If you continue to have problems, please duplicate the issue and send us log files with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing:
- Open Windows Event Viewer's (Control Panel > System & Security > Administrative Tools or Start > Search > 'Event Viewer') > Windows Logs > Applications.
- Check for any errors and send the information (Save All Events As...).
- Please send your \HM2Logs folder files as well.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then right-click > 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email. If you have any problems with dropbox try using filedropper.com

Re: Holdem Manager Support

Hi,

I'm having problem with HM2 displaying HUD on ACR just for the OSS events. Any other games on ACR, HUD works fine but for whatever reason it won't display HUD for the tournament series going on there. HM2 can grab the hand histories from those events in real time but HUD still doesn't work. Can you please help?

This happens anytime a site runs these special/new series or one of a kind tournaments.

Please see this FAQ on how to use table finder.

You will have to use it for each new tourney and each time you get moved to a new table.

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time.

If you continue to have problems please tell us which ps.xx skin you play on, what the client/server version numbers are, and send the requested files/screenshots as instructed at the end of the Zoom setup FAQ.

Except you didn't even put the asterisk.

Is that real? It's a bit much advertising it as "all new HM2" - it's almost unsupported software at this point. They've not added new sites for ages + they've removed support for MPN rather than provide a fix.

A 'fix' for MPN's new cash game hand history file format is not possible.

https://www.mpn.poker/blog/closing-a-few-loopholes/

Quote:
In cash games, we will only save a full hand history to your computer if you contributed to the pot. If you don’t contribute to the pot, we will save a reduced version of the hand history with only basic information such as your balance, hole cards, and the fact that you folded. This reduced hand history will not include your opponents’ hands or actions. The implication of this is that you will not be able to track hands in which you did not actively participate, nor will you be able to gather data on your opponents by passive observation.
This means we cannot provide accurate statistics played on their cash tables. Older HM2 versions will continue importing hand histories, but they are not officially supported and we cannot provide further support on it.

By looking at the Reports > Tournament > More Reports > Tournaments or Tournament Results reports $EV column and comparing it to the Net Winnings column. You can also see this a bit easier in the More Reports > Tournament Winnings Graph by toggling on the Options > [x] 'Luck adjusted winnings' option and refreshing the graph to see if that line is above or below your Winnings line.

See this FAQ for more about EV.

Note: WPN does not write tournament summaries so we have a hard time properly detecting tournament results, even for single table games. Any tournament with more than 1 table (and some single table games) will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. Without this information it is impossible for HM2 to work out the correct results. The only sites that currently write these summary files that we support right now is Pokerstars, Full Tilt, and Pacific. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results.
