It would be really great if you could make the sections on the dashboard re-sizeable so you can drag them up and down to make them bigger or smaller. The only one that grows if you expand the main window is the bottom section with the individual hands. You could also make them collapsible. If you collapse one section the others should grow to fill the remaining space. You should be able to collapse more than one section at a time.

Also, If I create a filter, can it only be selected by going to create filter and then load?
It would be great if it would show up in the drop down or somewhere else easily selectable. Just trying now it doesn't actually load and apply the filter if you try to load one you saved.

Yeah, originally we wanted to make them drag and dropable, but it didn't happen. But there's no real way to just collapse one section. There's the main expand button like you said, but maybe if you explain what format of data you'd like to see together, I can see if it's possible.

As far as the filters, you create them and they show up in the middle section of the two data grids. You have to save a newly created filter, but it will stay until you remove it. Then as long as you save it, you can load it at any time. I'm not sure I understand what you mean there. We can add a recently created filter slide out. Maybe that would be easier to access, and a way to add your created filters to the quick filter list. Thanks for the feedback.

2) There's only a forum (like 2+2) export right now. You have to right click on a hand in the hand grid, and then click export. Raw HH's export will be added soon.
1) I just downloaded the most recent version I believe (Version: 1.0.2.465). Still having the problem.

2) A couple of things regarding the 2+2 export:
  • Omaha hands are read as NL hands. When it shows each players hand at the end of the HH, it only gives the first two cards.
  • Get rid of the "remaining stack" part after each bet. Unnecessary.
  • If the losing player had a bigger stack when shoving all-in, it says they "win" that particular amount. Get rid of that as well.

Here's an example Omaha HH:

Hand History driven straight to this forum with DriveHUD Poker HUD & Database

NL Holdem $3(BB)
BTN ($300)
SB ($391.42)
HERO ($370.32)
HJ ($703.41)
CO ($39.6)

Dealt to Hero 5 J

HJ Raises To $10.5 (Rem. Stack: 692.91), CO Folds, BTN Calls $10.5 (Rem. Stack: 289.5), SB Calls $9 (Rem. Stack: 380.92), HERO Folds

Flop ($34.5) K 5 8
SB Bets $21.73 (Rem. Stack: 359.19), HJ Folds, BTN Raises To $97.78 (Rem. Stack: 191.72), SB Raises To $304.20 (Rem. Stack: 54.99), BTN $191.72 (allin) (Rem. Stack: 0.00)

Turn ($649.93) K 5 8 4

River ($649.93) K 5 8 4 Q

BTN shows 2 K

SB shows 5 6

BTN wins $610.5
SB wins $36.43

Thanks

Thanks. Yeah, I know why the Omaha export is occurring. We'll fix it next build. I like the remaining stack (as a player myself), but we can add it as a settings at some point.

As far as that replayer issue though, can you please go to the settings menu at the top left, and click the support tab. If you send a message to support from there it will attach your log. We'll be able to see why it's not pulling the hand data for that hand in the replayer.

Pretty sure the answer to this is no. Although, All data is stored in a database on your computer. I think there could be a few options none of which are easy or straight forward for the average user. Both of which are not official and may explode the software into tiny pieces.
  1. The easiest option I think personally is to move the database to somewhere accessible by both computers. And have them share the database.
  2. More advanced option would be to examine the database structure and create a custom exporter and importer that you would have to run when switching computer.

I'll try to explain a use case for the window changes. Lets say I create a filter that just shows me pocket pairs. When I click on the "Holecards" tab it only shows 5 rows. It would be very useful to be able to see them all on one screen without having to scroll. If you made the bottom section collapsible and resize-able and then make the middle section able to auto expand vertically to fill the empty space that would be perfect.

Yes I figured out how to create a filter and save it. The problem is if you clear filters and go to re-load it later it doesn't load and doesn't show up.

Not right now. There's a manual way. You can backup the database and then copy it over and then re-import it to the new computer. There will be a couple of upcoming options here soon that we are working on.

I'm just talking about using PGadmin and doing a backup and then restoring it on your new system. We don't have a document on it, because we're going to have our own backup and restore process in soon, as well as a way to export sessions.

Here's a doc on how to do it though from postgres:
https://www.pgadmin.org/docs/dev/backup.html

If you get stuck or unsure I can try and walk you through it more. It's really pretty simple, but if you haven't done it, might look intimidating.

No, not yet. But you can run it through parallels or a similar windows emulator. I think parallels is now $25 on amazon and other places.

I had to re-install DriveHud because the Windows 10 update screwed my computer up and now a window pops up from DriveHud that says "Configure PostgrSQL Server"

I press "Connect" and it does not connect or open DriveHud.

Server : localhost
Port : 5432
User : Postgres
Password : postgrespass

Are these all correct?

Thanks

Yes, those are correct. Yeah, I hear you. I like Win 10, but updates jack up my system a lot as well. Before drivehud it would just mess up my postgresSQL connection, and the only way it seemed to restore the easiest was just a re-install of postgresSQL. Maybe try download 9.5, re-install and reboot. I'll ask one of the developers if they have any other solutions too.

I'll try PostgreSQL 9.5

I went back to Windows 8.1

I uninstalled DriveHud and re-installed it and getting the same error

I actually did a fresh re-install of Windows 8.1 and one of the first things I tried to download was DriveHud and it does not work =(

I'm currently using version 1.0.2.465

I'm still encountering the bug where every time i set a note for a player the HUD for that player bugs out and moves to a different part of the window. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be fixed in the current version or not.

I'm having a bigger issue though. I have about 6.5k hands now in my db. I'm generally 4 tabling at 9 handed tables. I'm getting some severe client lag. Often when I press the + sign to increase my bet size, click the call, or fold buttons there is greater than a 2 second delay before my mouse clicks are registered.

I know the Bovada/Ignition software is complete garbage and full of bugs. I get that. I wasn't getting these long client side pauses however in the past. Also there are times where I go to minimize/maximize the drive hud window and i'm also experiencing a very long (2+) delay.

I'm working on a very lightly loaded machine. It's a 3.5ghz quad core with 16gb of ram, a solid state HD, and a very fast graphics card. I also have a 110/12mb internet connection although i'm convinced it's a client issue and not a network issue.

When I bring up the task manager without bovada/drive hud my TOTAL load is <1% CPU. Normally Bovad/Drive HUD are only using a couple % CPU each, but when the client goes unresponsive both spike to 25% CPU each.

As a test I closed Drive HUD and played on 4 play money tables on bovada sans hud and i had zero of the lag issues. I restarted my computer and even disabled advanced logging in Drive HUD but the problem persists.

I've loving Drive HUD, but the unresponsiveness is frustrating to say the least.

The note issue is fixed in this next build I'm likely putting up tomorrow. The problem is the note is there, but it moves off screen and you can't see it.

I hear what you're saying and I appreciate the feedback. The thing with Bovada unfortunately though is it's on their side. There's not much we can do about it. And running w/o DH on and not having as much LAG doesn't mean DH is the cause. Bovada runs and creates all of their tables data and graphics on their end and then sends them to you. It's just an inefficient way of doing things, and if you visit a Bovada thread you'll see countless non-DH users complaining about this. You can be on the same session and start having server side lag on their end, and it just bog down your tables, and then 10 minutes later it's fast and responsive. I play there myself, even before using DH and experienced this countless times.

With that being said we're always working on making DH leaner and more responsive. So I believe you'll see gradual improvements in that area as we move forward. It's a goal of the team, and something you can always refine. If you play on BOL w/ DH for example, their LAG isn't quite as bad (although they have a little too, but better than it was when they had the casino side window attached ).

Thanks for the feedback, and keep us posted on how things are going.

I did a little research on the Bovada thread on 2+2 here. And hopefully them moving to Ignition, those guys will work on refining this and making it better. But this is what people have been doing:

Ok ... made a HUGE breakthrough on identifying the lag source and a temp fix: The cause of the lag is almost entirely the crummy lobby structure ... it's running some 30-50% of your PCU trying to update all the tables that are running, # of players, avg. pot %s, etc.

Anyway, the key to getting rid of the lag is to get your 4 tables running, then switch lobby to the casino games tab (where there aren't nearly as many update inquiries by the lobby jamming your PCU.) Soooo relieved I found this out. Can actually play poker like a real human being now.

I've read that bovada thread before. I tried it again with the lobby set to casino games and even minimized the lobby and the huge spikes in CPU usage still occur. I can post 2 pictures of my task manage with and without DH running so you can see the difference if you like. My CPU usage on all 4 cores is going from <10% to 75% at the same times when the Ignition UI becomes unresponsive.

No, it's ok. I believe you. I'm just saying that it happens on their platform depending on their connection and server load. Bovada did expand their servers and speed, and it has been better, but I'm just making you aware that of course DH is going to some resources, but the main culprit is Bovada. That being said we want to find more efficient ways so that DH doesn't cause any delays w/ Bovada's table updates. As a player myself I've experienced this many times (and you can see from the bovada thread others have as well) who aren't using DH.

Someone also posted this to help, which I think mainly has to do w/ the rebuy timeout, but it might also help.

-----
Maybe this has already been mentioned but there is a Win 10 fix for the issue of lack of connection to server/not being able to rebuy at tables. This happened to me repeatedly in the past where I would "lose connection to the server" and not be able to reload at any of my tables, destroying my sessions repeatedly. I spoke to support about it and they mentioned this:

Control Panel > search "performance" > adjust the appearance and performance of Windows > advanced > click "change" under "total paging file size for all drives:" > uncheck "automatically manage paging file size for all drives: > check "custom size" and then set both "Initial Size" and "Maximum size" to the figure listed under "Recommended" at the bottom. Then click Set and Ok and restart your comp.

I've played for a few days now after this fix and haven't had the disconnection issue.
-----

We are looking into a recent issue where DH is coming to the forefront. It's the first time we've seen that, and maybe this is related to your issue. I'm not sure, but we're looking into it and I can update you when I know more. Thanks for the feedback!
