Already there.
Under the "Call" option in the action menu you can enter a number.
If you enter "2p" then you will call when getting odds of 2:1 or better and otherwise fold.

havn't used it in a few days, went to open it today (as admin, in vista) and the window popped up saying it downloaded a new one and was going to start in 5 seconds, then it after 5 seconds the window goes away and no stoxev comes up. any ideas?

Huh, weird.
The StoxEV.exe file should start the StoxEVmain.exe.
See if you can run StoxEVmain.exe.

tried it. thinks for a second and then nothing. nothing shows up in my processes either.

Do you have the latest version?
It's updated every month and the old version stops working.
Possibly you haven't auto-updated and are now using a non-functional older version.
Go to the website and download the latest patch.

- Your computer is at the correct date (and not for instance by accident september 2008)
- You have the latest version
- Your StoxEVmain.exe file exists

I am using the trial version and i was wondering whether the commercial version has this feature:
eg. HU situation , villain goes all in with any (random) cards, can StoxEv automatically calculate the optimal range of my hand in order to have the highest EV ?

Yes, it can.
You just need to hover over the condition and delete all -EV hands by pressing Alt+D.

I want to run stox ev on a 2nd computer. I donated $ before u released it commercially, which I think means I can run it on 2 pcs for the price of 1 right? If so how do I do that?

Also My new comp is a macbookpro. Does stox ev run on its operating system or would I need Windows?

I'm hardly an expert on Macs, but I doubt that it will run on it.
I do believe some people have gotten it to run with some sort of a convertor.

When I start up Stox ev it says failure to download one or more files. It used to work fine, hadnt used it in a while, have commercial version.

Go here for the latest patch to update manually: http://www.stoxev.com/get_the_latest_version.htm

However, if it's réally been a long time, the difference between versions may be too big. In that case just uninstall and reïnstall.

So I've just downloaded the trial and playing around with it, so much to learn. Could you check a problem for me?

Trying to work out the EV of a shove:

100BB stacks, standard blinds, 6max

UTG folds, MP folds, CO opens to 3BB (range top 20%), BTN (Hero) goes ALLIN with AK, SB Calls ALLIN 99+ AK else folds, BB Calls 99+ AK else folds, CO calls 99+ AK.

So heres the screen of what I did I presume I did something wrong?



Few questions probably basic but just trying to get used to it.

If I enter a call number > then the pot will it just presume I called ALLIN?

When I enter a range as in Call if AA-99, AKs, AK then enter Fold all hands (as pictured) that means it will first check if our hand is in that range else fold it?

Why does the last action in the tree say Fold (Call<=97), and not just Call<=100 like the others (I don't mean the numbers different I mean why does it say fold first?). Also do I always have to enter the fold all hands tree, stoxev won't presume that if I call a certain range I fold all else?

Ahh scylla I see I shouldn't be entering the values of the calls correct? This should be 0 (just watchin' tutorials) so I guess my example is completely wrong?

Do you mean the customizable ranges where it has Range 1/Range 2/Range 3? I'm watching a tutorial now he said something about a range txt file a quick look in the stox EV directy has the file preflopranges.txt which looks like the correct file. I'd back this up first then just place the file you want to import in the directory or copy it if your exporting. Only new to this (yesterday!) so take that fwiw. Worth a try though just make a backup first.

EDIT: Oh looks like you can just click default to restore defaults anyhow
