scylla is it possible to have a different river layering scheme for different turn layers? In some cases I may not even want to use any river layers for a particular turn layer, and yet it seems that I'm forced to do so. It often doesn't make sense to use the same river layers for all turn layers.

The layering system is mostly intended for only being applied to one unknown board phase. If you want to work with both unknown turns and rivers then you're probably better off by using CardRunnersEV's equilibrium solver. See here for some videos: http://www.cardrunnersev.com/equilibrium.html. Update video 4 is the most important one here. It explains the tree creation wizard and how to lock actions/conditions.

In 'edit conditions', is there a way to filter for middle pairs with kickers queen and lower? Or kicker below top card?

ex. K92r , Q9-93

Or even filter for middle pairs with kickers between a range?

ex. K92r , Q9-97

For this you can use the kicker options:

If the board is known then you can simply enter that you want middle pair and enter the desired kicker values under the "Holecards" tab:

I keep getting a crash when I'm using the program for like 5+ minutes. Has this been common?

I'm not aware of such an issue. Unusual behaviour is almost always caused by interference from a virus scanner though, so please set an exception. Other than that, which version of Windows are you using? And what sort of things are you doing when the crashes occur (for example: Building trees manually, editing conditions, while running the solver, etc)?

HoldEq is actually associated with Flopzilla.
It is capable of connecting to Flopzilla and automatically import ranges from it.
See here for a demonstration video: https://youtu.be/RTKBiwffRMw

That being said, the free version of HoldEq can be downloaded here:
http://www.flopzilla.com/holdeq.html

It has quite a few nice features like equity tables and matrices, so even in its free version it should be to most people's liking.

hey sorry to bother you, but any chance you know which windows display settings is causing this?

Those are the DPI settings. If you google for that term you should find links with instructions on how to change them.

Hi, Scylla

I notice a small problem.
I like to run the equilibrium tool, found the nash equilibrium. Then press F6 to see how the play should go. I found out that if you save a file and run F6, then you close the file, reopen it and run F6 again. You get exactly same hole cards, same turn and river cards, same play, same everything. And so does second, third times...etc.

Cheers,

pokoteng

That's actually not a bug.
I intentionally did that so that issues that were reported were reproducable.
I prefer to keep it like this.

Cheers,

Scylla

Hello Scylla

I am not sure to understand the Abs./Rel. difference in the windows taking a closer look at the weights in a range (solver)
Could you explain it ?

Thanks !
Ben

Absolute is simply the number of combos that reaches this part of the tree.
Relative is the chance that a hand is assigned to a particular action.

For example, lets's say that 0.25 combos of AsKs reach a particular decision.
In 40% of the cases this hand will be bet.
In the other 60% it will be checked.

This will mean that in "Absolute" mode the Alt+W tool will show 10% for the bet action and 15% for the check action.

In "Relative" mode however, it will show 40% versus 60%.

Okay perfect
Thanks !

Also, the little "c" for locked custom checkdowns doenst appear on my versio of CRev...
how come ?

That option is only available in the first postflop decision after preflop play.

Is it possible to expand the layering system to allow for this in future updates?

I can look into it, but once again, you should probably consider looking into the equilibrium solver.

Scylla, are you planning to add a locked function for max exploitative tool, like in equilibrium tool or maybe it is possible to use it now but I don't how. I need to define the best calling range from my open range(should be locked) in BU vs SB, BB 3b range.

Yes, this will be added shortly.

Hello, does it possible to calculate equilibrium for this spot in your software ?
Example: stacks sb-10, bb-10. Sb limp or fold then bb push or fold .Then I want to find equilibrium how much sb must limp, bb push and sb call after bb push . I create a tree, then push euilibrium button and then ev calculate but didnt get result.
My tree.

Yes, that should work.
Just to be clear, you need click on the yin-yang symbol in the toolbar to start the solver.
Then click on "Compute".
This will start the solver.
To stop, click the button again and close the solver with "CLOSE".

If you close the solver while it's still running then it will not write its results to your tree.
So possible that's where it goes wrong for you.

If your issue remains, then please send a savefile to support.
