Announcing Hold'em Manager 2 ("HM2") Beta Announcing Hold'em Manager 2 ("HM2") Beta

With HUD options, is there currently the ability to only show stats based on last x amount of hands? I can find a feature in the hud options that allows you to choose how old the hands are, but not the num of hands to include.

For me if a guy takes a holiday and his hands are a month old I'd rather have his old stats than have no stats if I set a filter for age of hands... filtering for the most recent x amount of hands solves this.

I'm having some trouble installing Hold'em Manager on my laptop. It gives me this error when I try to run the file: The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I think the latest HM2 update has killed notecaddy speed. Prior to the update I was processing notes at 70h/s. Now it's <1h/s. Definitions are the same, DB is the same, settings are the same.

it's set to slow down dramatically if you have HM2 focused. I just tried it and I am still getting > 100 hps as long as I click a different window besides hm2. Could that be what's happening here?
08-26-2011 , 09:00 AM
I don't think that's the case. I noticed the slowdown whilst I was playing a session (it actually make my quad-core, 8gig SSD machine really slowdown during a poker session) so i had to kill it. Before I got 80+ hps whilst it was in focus.

I will test again later I guess, if there's anything i can do to help diagnose the issue let me know

Here is a question about hmsync is the speed slower or lowered or is it just getting slower with a bigger database ? How does it work with these batches, why don't they get uploaded one after another ? Where can I find these batches and how big are they ?

What speeds or how fast or slow do you experience with an SSD when using HMSync when uploading batches ? I know it is going faster when downloading.

The problem is I have over 12k batches I need to upload, and I think I can do only 1k at the most a day atm. Well make it even less then half of that, it is now only doing 200 over maybe 12 hours. So at that rate it will take 3 months orso to upload them all ? K maybe 2 months, but that's still ridiculous.
I have over 100k hands at myhm + 1 hand I uploaded manually, I don't think it will get more hands there. So that looks like is limited, therefor I suspect other parts maybe limited too!

if your HM2 remains responsive, my request would be that you try to go in the NC tab and click "stop" to see if that directly changes anything.

NC says 'stopped' instantly, the HM2 process continues to rag on the CPU for maybe a minute then quietens down.

btw i did the bar graph time thingy, the left one is the lowest, the right one is the highest (sorry not very detailed i know i'm going from memory here atm)

Correct, you can only filter HUD stats by last X months at this time. I'll talk to programming and see what they say about last X number of hands. This might be a little CPU intensive and why it was never added to HM1, but I'll double check.

Download the installer again. What OS are you running? 32/64?

Biggest thing that will affect Sync Upload/Download speed is your internet connection. It's possible lots of server load would cause a slowdown but the server load so far has been very minimal.

Yes, MYHM is capped at your last 100k hands, HMSync is not capped at all.

There's 1,000 hands in each batch. Hand batches are stored in the postgreSQL database. Doing some math it looks like you have a 12 million hand database which is roughly 12GB of data. That will take ages to upload even on a halfway decent connection.

The time between batches was very long.

Hi,

Im awaiting a response from our sync developer on your issues and well get back to you soon on that. In the meantime can you give us any details on your upload and download speeds with the ISP you have your broadband with.

Try www.speedtest.net or a similar site to test your actual speeds as it doesnt always hit the speeds advertised by your ISP

it looks like there could be opportunities for improvement in how batches are generated when a database is large. Thanks for the info

Hello downloading batches went pretty quick especially at the end, it looked like it downloaded one after another and didn't do anything with them. Uploading takes a long time to start and it is taking a while now to upload 2 batches.

How much 'll HM2 cost for HM1 users (with a key)

I've been using HM2 beta since three weeks, and I really really love it
08-30-2011 , 05:19 AM
Hi, great to hear your loving it so far.

Although final pricing has not yet been determined, we will offer Upgrade pricing to existing users that is substantially less than a new purchase. Anyone purchasing HM1 since May 1st will qualify for a full credit toward HM2 and details on other full or partial credit toward an Upgrade (based on how recently HM1 was purchased) will be announced prior to the end of the HM2 Beta period.

There will be no upgrade costs associated with HM Apps there were purchased by HM1 owners.

As an american player its going to be hard to upgrade. As you know not a lot of sites for us, are you going to take this into consideration with your price model. It's going to be hard for me to upgrade until things change for us Americans.

I know this is not fair to other players the maybe you can come up with some type of price model for Americans.

Right now that isn't possible but its something were working on. The performance on HM Sync right now is impacted by some server resources that we are reconfiguing over the next couple of weeks. We will post an update to this response once those additional server resources are in place.

Hi, although we understand your concerns we wont be offering different pricing models based on your location, we do understand US players have less choice to choose from and are working on adding support for Cake and Bodog to help with this and we will also consider other US friendly sites if the site has enough volume to make it viable.

You can upload a large amount of hands or a file at www.holdemmanager.com My HM section. Choose manual import.
08-31-2011 , 09:38 PM
I've tried twice now to upload my HH's and it uploads all my hands played from this past month as I want it to, but none of my 6max super turbo tourney results/hands/etc show up. This is on merge fwiw.

I played ~15k supers this month and ~500 reg/turbo speed sngs and the only tourney results that come up is from the reg/turbo speed sngs...yet all 280k hands are in the DB.

Idk wtf i messed up but its annoying , any help?

Please email hands that are not importing along with a link to your post to hm2support@holdemmanager.com
