Is it possible to implement party's backgrounds from partycaption to starscaption or implement hyper simple theme from pokerstars to partypoker? I would prefer the first

AFAIK there is possible to do any theme for Stars - but I'm not a layout designer, so I do not know the details of how to do it, sorry. You can find many one-style layouts for different rooms, for example TheSameLayout (it is free in a basic configuration), or many other commercial layouts (like HM Classic Theme).

How often does partycaption and 888caption get an update? When i was logged on partypoker, i then opened partycaption like i always do. Then it had a message of needing to update. So i then did that. Then it installed like normal like every other times. However, when i opened it up, i got a message that there is a trojan message and that it is related to partycaption. Then my virus scanner scanned it and said its a trojan and it lists as severe. I then ran the scan of it and it was there and i removed it. But then i think i had to do another scan and it was there, it detected it. I then removed it again.


Now it doesn't show it anymore but in the process i had to delete partycaption off my computer. Has anyone here ever had this message before whether it was partycaption or 888caption? Im guessing this is a false positive etc? I had issues where back then i could not open partycaption due to some reason but never had this message before. Can someone tell me why i had this issue?

PaulyJames200x, updates can be from time to time - I add new features to the programs, fix bugs and add support of a new versions of poker client (some functions may stop working there after party/888/stars update).

Yes I know - Windows Defender blocks the latest version of PartyCaption. This is a false alarm - you can upload it to virustotal.com and check it there - there are no any viruses in it. A false alarm happens periodically for some antiviruses for different versions of my programs, and there's nothing I can do about it. So you can check it on virustotal and add it to excusions / trusted programs in your antivirus settings.
Or you can downgrade to any previous version if it works fine for you.

Hi there. Well the thing is whenever i receive a message to update partycaption or 888caption, are you telling me i could put no and it still would work without issue? Because i normally always update it as i just click yes.


Okay so i have to download partycaption again but the thing is would i have to fix all the settings again? The thing is there is a software called IObitinstaller that i have that showed up after i removed partycaption that said i still have x amount of files there as it hasn't been removed etc. So i just download partycaption again and thats all?

When i choose the option "mouse jump to table" the mouse is being placed on top of my HUD. Anyway to have the mouse move to a different place on the table?

1. Some recent versions had problems with downloading updates - 888Caption2 v2.42 for example. In this version there is no any other way to update it - you can do it manually only. In addition, manual updates may be required in some other cases, such as an antivirus false alarm.

2. You can make a copy of your settings by Options / Save settings backup. Also settings should not be lost if you just reinstall the program into the same folder without removing the previous version.

3. Yes you can just to google it - or you can click (?) button in any Caption to get to the site. I can't put the direct links there, but you can find it in my profile.
Other users report that Windows Defender works fine with PartyCaption v1.72g and this version is available in an updater now.

There is now a such option now, but I'll try to add it and it will be possible to choose a point on the table

Hi there. I went to download partycaption v1.72g and then when downloaded, it had the message windows defender says it could be security risk. Then it has option run it or do not.


Is there a reason it shows that message though? I dont think it had that message last time i believe when i downloaded it? So maybe my windows defender settings is different from other people? However, i never configured windows defender with any change of settings etc.


So when i run it, do i need to add an exclusion or anything like that on windows defender to allow partycaption to work? Because last time when i installed the update, i got that message and it seemed to ask me to remove the program. Thanks.

In PartyCaption Table manager tab I have multiple slots setup for the same co-ordinates but I am unable to stack tables in the same slot it always forces the 2nd, 3rd etc. table to the next available slot. How do I make it so I can have multiple tables stacked in the same slot?

There are two ways:
1. Use 'virtual stack' mode with miniatures - you can see in 'Stack 22' default config how it works.
In the latest verisons Options / Popup table whenever action is required also works with a such configuration, so you can use it in auto-activation mode.

2. You can use a config with a bit different slot coordinates like this:

Yes there is a reason - PartyCaption hasn't a digital signature and it does a lot of suspicious things (from the point of view of antivirus) - but all these things are needed to realize its functions.
So just add it to exclusions - even if the program works correctly and the antivirus does not block anything in it, it can significantly slow down its work, because many of PartyCaption actions look suspicious and it can closely monitor its activity.

HI there thanks for that information. Is there a reason why 888caption doesn't have this issue though? I logged into 888poker and then 888caption and it seems to load.


So would the partycaption soon have an update on the digital signature? So it use to have one but not anymore which is why its like this now? I haven't played on party in just a short bit and then noticed this message.

PaulyJames200x, 888Captions hasn't a signature too. If you download the program from the site manually, then during installation you will also see this message. Windows Sefender says it for many programs, not just for Captions.
