Quite frankly, too many poker players have not exercised the appropriate caution when publicly posting their information about their incomes. Here is a short list of some dangers that may arise from doing so:
1. Potential trouble from tax authorities
2. Backlash from child support or alimony issues
3. Anger/resentment from other players/friends/or family members
4. Public danger posed by the threat of robbery or assault (please reference stories about Greg Raymer and most recently, John Duhamel).
I have done so in the past and even when such numbers/winrates were excellent (from the perspective of someone utilizing short stack strategies), the feedback was mostly negative. Please reference old posts from my personal blog here:
