Coaching-for-Profit Deals in SNG, MTT, and Cash
We are now taking applications for student membership into Team Moshman, a group of winning players devoted to further improving their game. You will work with a coach who is an established winning player in your game type, and have access to an entire network of fellow winning players and coaches equally dedicated to improvement. The arrangement is designed not only to improve your immediate results, but your lifelong earning potential as a professional poker player.
All long-term coaching is on a ‘No Win, No Fee’ basis where you pay a percentage of your profits in return for coaching. This policy guarantees that you will never pay for coaching out of pocket; any coaching costs you incur will be more than met by your playing profits. And your coach's pay is based entirely on how well you're doing in your games.
Our goal is for breakeven players to become winning players, and winning players to advance to an elite level. Even for players of the highest ability, the cost of a coach can easily pay for itself.
Coaching FAQ
Q: What are the terms of coaching-based memberships?
A: We believe that the value of coaching is directly based on proven results. Your coach will be paid entirely as a percentage of your profits playing. Typically a coaching contract length is four to six months. The exact terms will vary according to your previous results, your chosen stakes and your anticipated volume. I am entirely confident that my coaching staff will turn you into a significantly more winning player, and that is why we specialize in deals that are “No win, No fee.”
Q: What game types are available?
A: No-limit cash games from $25nl to $400NL, including heads-up, 6-max, full ring, and rush.
Q: What are the minimum requirements for a coaching deal?
A: As a guideline, players should be looking to play a minimum of 10,000 hands per week, or 5,000 hands for heads-up. Players should also have a suitable bankroll for their desired games, which in all cases will be at least $700.
I'm a full-ring nl100 cash game player. During my 6 months of being coached by Team Moshman, I learned how to recognize a ton of situations where I was losing money or not winning nearly as much as I should have. Some of the many areas in which my coach helped me improve were 3-betting, value betting light, isolating limpers, and 2-barreling.
After being coached, my results have improved dramatically, and I have even begun coaching other students in the Team Moshman program. There is a vibrant community of players and coaches playing cash, SNGs, and MTTs; no matter what type of poker you play, there is likely someone there who is an expert in that form of the game, and very happy to discuss it with you.
