Question to students:
Did your non SD improved? If yes, how much?

Feel free to ask/ pm any student.

I doubt many follow the thread, so thats probably your best choice of action.

Other than that, i can point you to the references already posted in this thread. Also, i don´t ask for money upfront, so feel free to try it out and decide later if its worth your money.

Just as a quick thought: Many students had problems with their non SD- winnings, but i can´t stress enough that your total winnings are what you should be working on. For some this means increasing aggression, but not for everybody.

re: #1 Ranked Online Poker Courses /// www.BestPokerCoaching.com /// NEW $100k Coaching System

I just had a session with Gordon and it was really good.

First I was very sceptical and 250$ an hour is a lot of money for me seeing as I play 100nl (so i appreciate the extra 30 mins I had for it running over), but I feel like it will definately be worth it. I am already a successful player at 100nl (running 14bb/100) - but post this session I am sure I will make more profit, will see in the future!

There was a lot of new concepts to me (that I was not even aware of), we also got to record the video and voice so I can watch it back over and over..looking forward to it and doing the homework!

Highly recommended whether you are already a winning or losing player,

I love this comment "stop the ****ing gay bets"

so here's the 3 session review.

semantics out of the way first. Gordon Is a knowledgeable player and a very guy.

Positives: Knowledge is great but without application it is worthless in a teaching aspect. fortunately i found Gordon to be very articulate as well as concise with the information he provided. He was able to break down examples and theory so that it was simple and easily accessible for me as a student.

Interaction was never a problem and gordon was very adaptable to any particular method of coaching i was looking to use. And i'll add that the information came thick and fast and never was he stuck for words when answering questions or giving his own advice.

I in short i think Gordon really does make Hu a lot easier for people.

negatives: No negatives as such, but i think that Gordons statistical knowledge is likely undervalued.

My last session with Gordon discussing the variants within statistics was worth a lot more than i would have ever expected. So if i could recommend an improvement i would suggest that Gordon could sell this quality more to a certain proportion of his students that would benefit from it.

I will likely be looking for more sessions in future, It was extremely helpful.

Had my first session with Gordon today. To be honest he wasn't quite as good as I expected. He was a lot better. I'm not saying this to be polite - I'm saying this because I truly think so.

Gordon knows his stuff and knows how to explain it. If you're having any troubles with your game (and even if you don't think you are) I guarantee you that a session with Gordon will help you a lot. And if you for whatever reason aren't satisfied, then simply don't pay. It's as simple as that.

I will definitely book another session once I've done my homework.

Note to everyone: mark the hands you want to discuss in HEM/PT so you can easily replay them during your session - this will make things a bit easier.

re: #1 Ranked Online Poker Courses /// www.BestPokerCoaching.com /// NEW $100k Coaching System

Had a session with Gordon yesterday and wanted to give a little feedback.
Note that I never had coaching before so I can't really compare him to anyone else.
I am playing nl200 and so far I've been beating it for a small winrate (~3bb/100) so I would think that I don't have a ton of very obvious leaks in my game. Despite this he managed to find 2 things that I really need to fix (in just an hour, imagine if I would have had 5 sessions already), he explained to me why I need to fix this and how I should do it. I am pretty sure that what he told me will pay for my session with him in just a few thousand hands of playing. He wasn't paying attention to the clock so it went a bit over the hour and he wasn't in a rush to end the session. After the session (which already went over the hour) he was still writing down notes for me, giving me homework and asking if I had any questions.
So I'd definitely recommend him, I was a bit sceptical at first because most posters in this thread are guys with like 20 posts but here you have it from a regular poster in the 6max forums here, this guy is a very good coach and I'm sure he can help you improve your game like he's done for me.

Had my first session last week and am expecting to have 2 more when i get the time. I would definitely recommend the coaching, a major leak/shortcomming of mine was immediately pointed out and i think its definitely helped (im taking a shot at 600NL by the way) and af for the question about the red line, my red line was goign down and it seems to have stablilized/ maybe started to creep up after the first session although the sample size is still small, ill definitely post after my 2nd and 3rd sessions to keep you updated

re: #1 Ranked Online Poker Courses /// www.BestPokerCoaching.com /// NEW $100k Coaching System

Update:

Have recently ( few days ago) started to coach/mentor a young player.

We are starting off on NL 100 and my goal is to bring him to NL 1k in less than 6 months.
The guy is studying on the side fwiw.

If there is enough interest, he´ll post results, graphs, updates etc ...

Guy was down over 1k in 43k hands on PTR. (before our coaching started)

We are on a lil upswing, he had his biggest winning day after 2 introductory lessons (7 buyins at NL 100). I´m sure there is more to come...

Would most people prefer 50k a month vs "bums" or vs the "geniuses" but with 1k in the pocket ?
I understand the nature of your question, just saying it wouldnt matter either way.
I measure the success of my students in money, not in who they beat and how many brilliant theoretical concepts they can memorize
In order to beat the higher stakes, he needs tough opponents on the way, so there is no way around anyways.

I would be just as proud/happy/confident if we make a lot against people who are rather weaker players.

Something to keep in mind:

Anyways, the term "bumhunting" sucks, as i would never teach any student wrong pride.
Knowing your limits is something that most players lack.
Also depending on how good you are, the definitions of "bum" changes all the time...

I think its safe to assume that everyone in this thread - myself included - is a "bum" compared to Ivey
