Re: mpethybridge--Database Analysis: Finding and Plugging Leaks with HEM and PT3

I had my four hour major leak finder session with Matt last weekend.
I have beaten NL200 6max for years but at the same time I am only a marginal winner in mid stakes. That is why wanted to get a look at my leaks as seen in the HEM.

Have to say that I got very good value for my $200 investment.
Matt is very nice guy with the professional attitude.
He also knew very well where to look at to identify the leaks. He certainly a couple of big leaks of my game I wasn't aware of. Strongly recommended for anyone strugglin in small and mid stakes and wants to learn what parts of the game to work with.

Re: mpethybridge--Database Analysis: Finding and Plugging Leaks with HEM and PT3

I had my session with Matt two days ago. I play 2/4-3/6 6-max so I have a slightly different background than most of the people in this thread, but I still found it very worthwhile

Like he says in the introduction it's more of a discussion between equals for people who play 2/4+, but Matt offers a lot of value for MSNL-players when it comes to Holdem Manager expertise. Like most people who have been playing a while I know the basics of HM, but when it comes to customizing filters for specific scenarios, say playing limped pots out of the blinds, Matts help is invaluable. He could also tell me what a good / average / bad winrate was for each filter and how I compared to other MSNL players for each position / spot. I had tried to do some analysis through the HM-forum before, but its very time consuming to say the least. Having someone to guide you through the myriad of filters saves a ton of energy. Several of the leaks Matt pointed out I was aware of, but he also pointed out that I was leaking money in a couple of spots that I was clueless about. Seeing as how winrates are diminishing at MSNL this is really valuable.

Matt was very competent and also quite generous with his time. Considering that his hourly rate is literally 1/8 of my last two coaches he is ridiculously good value. Obviously he is not going to add 2BB/100 like he does for some of the NL25 players, but if he finds 1 or 2 small leaks it's going to pay for itself ten times over in a couple of sessions anyway. I can really recommend him as a coach.

mpethybridge - I tried to e-mail you but it bounced back. I am unable to PM you because I just created an account here. Can you e-mail me or can someone give me the correct address as I must have it wrong. Gemaco@comcast.net - Thanks very much.

Ive never used a HEM and wouldn't know where to start. If you were hired would you be able to walk a novice through using it patiently as well? Would I have to install it and play a certain amount of hands before we could start. Cant PM yet so plz email fenris999@yahoo.co,

Re: mpethybridge--Database Analysis: Finding and Plugging Leaks with HEM and PT3

I recently paid for a written report from mpethybridge. I play 50nl and feel the advise that he gave is very good for the stakes.

The report is very clear and concise. It includes relevant hand histories as examples of leaks in my play.

Overall he found three major leaks and other smaller ones. If I can improve on just one of the major leaks then this service will definitely be worth it.

I'll contact you on email shortly. For now, I just wanted to point out to you that you can retrieve your old hands by asking FT to send them to you. It took them 4 days to send me a year's worth of hands.
