A poker-related legal and political issue has arisen in my area of my state. It has long-term implications for the effort to license and regulate poker.

As a poker professional who used to be a lawyer, I am uniquely well-qualified to become involved in this issue, and I think I owe it to the poker community to advocate on our behalf in this situation. The Poker Player's Alliance has asked me to take on a short term, but very time sensitive project for them. It should only take a few days to assist the PPA in developing a response, but it will take all of my free time for the next few days.

I currently have a lot of e-mails and private messages awaiting my attention from a lot of you that are interested in scheduling a session. I ask your patience while I work with the PPA for the next few days, and I promise that I will get messages out to all of you as soon as possible, no later than Saturday, April 10.

What I am going to do is send all of you a link to this post. This will have the effect of marking your message as read in my g-mail and private message in- boxes, and that opens up the possibility that I could overlook your message when I reply on Saturday. To keep that from happening, I would ask that you simply reply to the message that I send you with this link; that way, I will have a new, unread, message from you when I have completed my project for the PPA.

Thanks to all of you for your patience and understanding for the next few days.

Regards,
mpethybridge

Edit to add: This will NOT affect any currently scheduled sessions.

Hi,

I am interested in the comprehensive analysis. I play 100NL on full tilt under the username CrayZySwayZy. My e-mail is frankrowley0808@gmail.com

PS. I tried sending a PM to you, but for some reason it didn't work. I just was told I did not have access to the page required to PM you.

Thanks,
Frank Rowley

Re: mpethybridge--Database Analysis: Finding and Plugging Leaks with HEM and PT3

I just had my first leak finder session with Matt, and was very happy. I was one of the original unfortunate "crew," and Matt helped me identify some huge leaks that my old "mentor" never even mentioned after 18 months of coaching.

Matt, thanks a lot, and I look forward to another review after implementing your findings, as well as working with splitsuit.

I couldn't recommend this service enough...

I have a question, which is ?

If someone only plays full ring no limit mtts, could you use your leakfinder package to find holes in the stats ?.

I don't think anyone offers mtts stats analysis,, so if i somehow start winning and could afford it,, i would like to try it someday.

Are you still working on this project?

I had an email from you telling me about this but I have had nothing back since then. I sent another email but again no reply.

I'm really interested in getting a full database analysis from you.

Check your emails for my name Philip Almasari.

Thanks

Philip

I have completed phase one of the PPA project. Thanks to everybody for your patience.

I have put in a couple of marathon sessions of replying to messages and scheduling sessions. If you have not heard from me, I have inadvertently skipped your message, and if you resend or post ITT, I will get back to you immediately.

Update: I've played 4000 hands at 25NL since my DB review with mpethybridge. Not a lot granted, but my win rate went from break even to about 15bb/100. And VERY simple leaks to plug. I'm also running at EV, and my red line went from the toilet to flat. (Full disclosure: I've also implemneted a some minor tweaks from James "Splitsuit" Sweeny's vids at Stox, by tightening up my steals. I think these have also helped my red line. But the biggest help was by far the db review).

My blind losses went from like -65bb/100 to down to -20bb/100

I'll post another update at 10K hands.

Re: mpethybridge--Database Analysis: Finding and Plugging Leaks with HEM and PT3

I've been on a pretty bad downswing/playing bad streak over the last 100k or so hands (to the point where I've been a slight loser) and I had a Major Leak Detection session last month with Matt and it was incredibly helpful. I've gained confidence and plugged some significant leaks and my game is better than it's ever been.

Definitely recommend. Will certainly return when I'm confident I've plugged the leaks I'm working on right now.
