Midstakes 6-max NLHE Coaching

Hi,

whether you're struggling at 200NL or beating 400NL, I can probably boost your profit and overall poker satisfaction.

Below is some information about my results from the past 15 months. Database was started the moment I landed in Asia in November of 2010.

Monetary results only shown for 400NL. I don't want people in real life who search me knowing exactly how much I make. All stakes are 2/4+, with overall winrate as well as BB results shown.

These results are based on 4-12 tables with tables decreasing as stakes rise. Focused on 400NL because it allows time for study and trading while grinding. I would've liked to get more hands in, but work on a lot of other projects and did a bit of travelling.

Most of these projects are poker related so regardless of whether or not I'm grinding, I'm usually thinking about poker. Here are the other poker obligations:
  • Video Producer and writer at Pokerstrategy
  • Successfully coached dozens of students over the past few years
  • Provided focused psychology coaching to several students
  • Creating a soon to be available psychology / sci-tech / poker strategy blog

Although I don't still offer psychology coaching because of time constraints, my academic background and the fact that I keep up in the field helps make sure students get a diversified coaching approach. I not only have a deep and technical knowledge of important psychological principles, but am also an active, full-time poker player.

A lot of players have the ability, but lack the confidence, some have the ability and are over-confident while lacking in discipline, organization, scheduling etc.

The most successful coach-student relationship is sensitive to every aspect of a poker players life while providing the necessary support and guidance for overall success and happiness.

Not only can I improve your technical aptitude, meta-awareness, and study habits, but also other essential factors such as your mood, discipline, motivation, focus, and mindset.

Ultimately, if you are motivated, serious about your poker career, and are ready to work, I can very likely boost your hourly rate quite significantly and prepare you for 5/10+. Which by the way is not much more difficult then 2/4. As you already know it's a lot of the same players anyway, just higher intensity with bigger swings. At that point factors away from the table become more important.

Many breakeven 2/4 players already have the ability to beat 5/10 but other psychological or bankroll factors prevent them from succeeding there. I try to dissect every aspect of a poker players practices as well as mindset to uncover all the areas lacking, and help them improve every one of them. This diversified approach has allowed me to coach many players to significantly greater profits as well as overall life improvement.

That being said, you have to really want it. You need to be ready to put in the work, and be prepared to succeed conceptually as well as practically. If you are, I am confident I can get you to your goals.

Below is a breakdown of how I recommend the relationship proceeding:
  • 15 minute talk to get to know each other and identify how you can progress. Here you can ask questions about direction and potential.
  • If you think you could benefit after the above, we will book a session.
  • If after the session you are interested in moving forward, those hours can be counted towards package pricing.

Rates and Packages:
  • Hourly at $225/hr
  • 10 hour package is $2000
  • 25 hour package is $4500
  • Group coaching at $150/hr

Payment by Moneybookers or Paypal

I'm glad to say this has never happened, but if at any point within a package you'd like a refund that is fine of course. The remaining hours will be refunded at the pro-rated rate you originally paid. Again this has never happened and I hope to be given the chance to help you reach your goals.

Regards,
Ali Ayoub

Re: Midstakes 6-max NLHE Coaching

I had a 25 hour package with Somnius over the second half of last year.
Somnius adopted a holistic approach in his coaching, providing me with mindset and technical help and helping me get over the worst downswing of my career.

We did a few sweat sessions but mostly hand review sessions towards the end of the coaching package and I learned quite a lot about stuff like sizing and timing and ranges.
would recommend it to others.

I have known Ali for a good few years now and have not encountered many people in the poker community as honest or trustworthy as him.

I found him to be incredibly hardworking and methodical, as the throughness of his post demonstrates. He has extensive experience at midstakes and how the games have evolved, and is very articulate so I can forsee no problems in him getting his knowledge and experience across. Highly reccomended!

You should post your sn so people can verify your results. ATM there is no evidence for results that cant be easily faked. Post your sn so people can make an informed decision about you.

Here's a retired sn.

I'm reluctant to post an active one. Since I'm a video producer and don't hold back when recording, bit unfair to have my whole thought process clearly outlined. Hope the above is sufficient.

Thanks

I've had 10 hours with Somnius a few months ago. My experience was extremely good. He can for sure teach any midstakes grinder a thing or two about theoretical poker stuff, but more importantly, he is very good at handling everything about being a professional poker player as well.

Defo worth every penny.

Re: Midstakes 6-max NLHE Coaching

i have talked a lot of poker with somnius over the years and am certain anyone who puts in the time and effort in their coaching sessions will definitely benefit a lot from what he has to teach.

he also is more than capable of articulating his thoughts in a way that can be understood easily. hes definitely a sick grinder who spends a lot of time away from the tables improving his game while putting in quite a lot of volume.

Re: Midstakes 6-max NLHE Coaching

I did some work with Ali several years ago. I don't recall too many details, but can confirm he's honest and trustworthy as he lmk that he was at my table several years later when he had a different sn and recognised he'd coached me previously. Also played with him quite a lot on ipoker and can confirm I'd rather having him as a coach than an opponent!
