Just wanted to offer a short unsolicited review of a coaching session I had with split. He was ready to go 10 min before out appointment and was prepared with questions for me. I came from a bit of a limit background so he was able to explain to me situations where I needed to alter my play for nl. I also like that split didn't say like open x hand from x position, rather he got me to think about my opponents in general and what types of hands play well against the specific player types. He has also commented on hands I've posted in the forums. Overall I was extremely pleased with the service I received and will likely be a repeat customer.

Just had a Leak Finder session with Split.
Split is a great guy and was willing to goto great lengths to accomodate me. Im sure he did more work and put in more hours doing my LF than anyone else
The guy now knows my game better than I know myself (weired how you can deduce someone is prone to tilt just by looking at the redline.) which is not good because he is going to exploit the crap outta me if we meetup at the tables.

hey split do you still do leakfinder sessions even tho mpethy seems to be out of the picture?

I have been handling them myself (doing both the sweat and the DB analysis part). I have been doing DB analysis with my students for the last year and have become very well-versed in it...so I feel any customer is getting solid value. If they don't, I have no problem refunding their money for that portion of LF.

yes that does thanks. how many hands do you think i should have before we do a session? does it matter if i am short stacking? or do you just analyze full stacking? just curious how come short stacking costs so much more than full? thanks a lot for your fast response also!

sorry ab last question i see now that there are nt any prices for full stacking. you can forget i asked that last question.

by default everything i do is for full stacking. for shortstacking stuff, im sure we could work out a deal (something between my full stacking price and my SSing price) if you just want a DB analysis for that.

SSing costs so much because:

1.) i dont like teaching it
2.) it doesnt take much to teach it (there is no "package" because it only takes 1hr really)
3.) i dont like teaching it =)

and for sample size, anything 30K+ is usable. the bigger the sample, the more reliable the findings will be.

I purchased the leakfinder package last week. Mpathey has been MIA for awhile now so I went ahead and had Split do my DB analysis today. I wish I would have done this six months ago. It was a real eye-opener for me when we started running the filters he had setup. I had a 75k hand sample from $50nl and he found over $1,000 in leaks(that's over 1.3 ptbb/100!) It was a lot of little things but he identified them quickly and explained why they were wrong and what I needed to change and his explanations made sense. It was also easy to see that these were leaks considering the big ugly red numbers with -$ sitting in front of them.

Split was also very professional. He was ready a few minutes early and we launched right into it. We covered a lot of stuff over the hour but it never felt rushed. He's a good teacher and he knows his ****. I can't wait for the sweat session portion of the package and I am definitely interested in receiving more coaching after my leakfinder package is complete.
