for those interested I made a free video on using Flopzilla (a great piece of software for visualizing how ranges hit different textures): http://www.splitsuit.com/flopzilla/

Re: SplitSuit - Full Ring Poker Coaching (up to 100NL)

I recently received a coaching session from James and it was by and far the best experience i have had. We started off with some theory talk and HH review then did a quick and sweet sweat. He was able to point out a lot of little leaks I had in my game and concisely explain to me why it was a leak and how to fix it. But what I liked best is his approach to teaching. He didn't just tell me why it sucked, but asked me questions so that I could think about it deeper myself. It's not really learning unless you think you thought of it yourself (if that makes any sense).

James is very approachable and friendly which are important qualities in a coach for me. I felt comfortable asking questions and his responses were firm and knowledgeable.

I recommend James as a coach if you need someone to tune up your game, leakfind, or just plain teach you how to beat poker.

Hey Split,

Like you blog and the vids you've done for COTW etc. Was curious with your writing and coaching etc...do you still play/grind online regularly each week? Stakes?
Also it doesn't seem to list you rsingle session rate on your site for the different limits...i.e. 25NL =x/hr, 50NL=x/hr
Or do you only do package deals?

glad you've been liking the things I've been doing =) I haven't been able to keep a lot of grinding hours this year due to business things. I still play 50nl and 100nl when I play though (unless I am making a video)

10NL and lower is $60/hr if you take at least 3hrs
25NL and higher is $75/hr if you take at least 3hrs
everything is $85/hr if you don't take at least 3hrs

(and of course there is LeakFinder which is the best bang for you buck: http://www.splitsuit.com/leakfinder )

What is your nick on Full Tilt and Stars?

Do you have a 100NL FR graph (with stats) that you can share with us?

Hey SS, obviously you can tell this is my first post and i've been doing a lot of reading. quick question...

Do you suggest I continue reading learn as much as I can or invest early in a coach like yourself for the future? I will read the forums no matter what, but am eager to jump in. Am i too premature for a coach?!?!?

feel free to email me

thanks, treez

i think coaching is a good idea sooner than later (as it will help ensure you don't develop some really bad habits). However, you need to have a basis of knowledge before you jump in with a coach. So if you feel you have a ground floor of knowledge, then coaching might be well suited for you right now. If not, then maybe keep doing some reading and check back in when you feel coaching would be better for you.

Hope that answers your question =)

Re: SplitSuit - Full Ring Poker Coaching (up to 100NL)

Just released this video and figured I would let people know who are interested: Bluff Ninja Video

It is $24.99, which is much cheaper than my normal $85/hr coaching. I def suggest it for anyone looking to improve their bluffing game as it covers a variety of spots that are super common.

Enjoy!
