If you purchase the leakfinder package it just takes the place of the first session with Split because mpethy will spot your leaks looking over everything and then ship Split the results and what you guys need to work on.

I did the leakfinder service and thought it was excellent. I cannot say if one is better than the other but think it is pretty close to the same.

im not sure if this response will get deleted (sorry mercenary if it's inappropriate)...

but with LeakFinder you get an hour of coaching with me (along with the DB analysis with Mpethy)...so you can use that hour with me to see if you would get a lot out of coaching with me in the future.

I can always put you in touch with references, just PM/email/AIM for that...

Re: FullRing Coach (Stox Coach) for micro-small (+Database analysis!):

Right, did the leakfinder thing last week and while that was all very awesome, it really is well worth the $$ especially seeing as empethy has no problem spending a lot of effort looking at it and he really is very thorough, I still felt like I needed more time with split to really pound out these numerous leaks I seemed to have.

So I took advantage of his special holiday deal and I can honestly say it was extremely useful and a great experience all around.

Split is very good at explaining everything really clearly, in such a way that even I could understand and follow and question the things we went over, when im not the most studied poker player or all that well at poker theory full stop.

He was quick to identify the areas I needed the most work on, and in the 3 hours we did (4 if you count the leakfinder hour of coaching) he was able to really help me on my way to start improving and fixing my game up. Basically the way he talks and guides you through the certain aspects that need improving made it very easy for me to fix things. And I dare say some leaks have been plugged and Im well on my way to becoming a better poker player .

As an added bonus Split seems to have the ability to tell you, you just made a total donk move in the nicest way possible without actually making you feel bad at all. I never felt afraid to make mistakes or be burned by the coach. He was very understanding about the different problems and what Im thinking of when I do things wrong and that just really helps a lot in fixing them and making you think the right way.

A+ coach would recommend to anyone.

I just got done with the leak finder package and it was then best $60 I have spent on my poker education. In a couple of days it has turned me from a break even to a winning player. If you are stuck in your game and can't figure out why or how to improve your game I would highly recommend it.

30K is generally as small as you want to go.

The bigger the sample the more reliable information Mpethy can give you based on stats

Re: SplitSuit - Full Ring Poker Coaching (up to 100NL)

I did Mpethy and Split's Leakfinder service a couple months ago and it was definitely worth the price. After spending an hour with Mpethy looking at my database, my game felt ripped apart, but I knew how to put it back together. The first session with Split was really helpful, he is great at explaining things in an understandable way, and helping you not to feel like a complete idiot.

Re: SplitSuit - Full Ring Poker Coaching (up to 100NL)

I was involved with what I believe to be the first Tank Session that Split has run. We had 7 people including myself, if I remember correctly.

It was very beneficial to me as I was able to hear multiple perspectives on playing hands as well as being able to have the guidance of Split on hands and various poker theory topics as well.

I am eager to place the discussion and suggestions into practice and see some results from the Tank session.

Split overall is a very down-to-earth, friendly, and easy to talk to coach. He will not make you feel inadequate or stupid in any way.

As I progress in my road to poker awesomeness, I will definitely seek further guidance from Split and I would recommend his coaching to anyone else.
