I produce videos for pokerstrategy.com. Unfortunately, the site isn't available to Americans. Most topics covered in videos are related to math and hand analysis. These topics can usually be gone through fairly quickly in coaching sessions as well.
Re: Mathematics Based Limit Hold'em Coaching from Leader
Hello there.
Im a micro stakes Limit player. Struggling and fighting my way through each session. I didn't wanted to lose anymore. So heres what i thought "I want to go get a coach. Someone who knows his sh*t" When i found Leader and talked a bit with him on skype before i asked him to fit me in as a student. I was very intrigued with his structure and plan for his coaching hours. even though its only 2 out of 4 ive had so far. It feels like 2 weeks , and 2 years of self studying at least. He has completely changed my preflop game in 1 hour. I can't say i feel completely comfortable playing this style yet but im desperately trying to and making the best decisions based on what he has talked with me about.
I am so very happy i chose Leader. Hes the best and so friendly. Always gives awesome advices. and all for $60/hour. Thats insane. I now think the prices for this is low. haha. im so lucky with my ultra small br to only pay that price for such learning. You should really try him out. You'd be surprised how good this is. How good a coach he is and how friendly he is. Really feels like he cares about his students ^^ .
My recommendation is in place here. no hesitation.
Re: Mathematics Based Limit Hold'em Coaching from Leader
I received a few coaching sessions with Leader. I'm a No Limit player, but I find Limit just as fun and interesting and I was looking to make sure I wasn't making plays that were appropriate to No Limit but big mistakes in Limit.
One of my favorite things about the coaching with him was the level of flexibility that he brings. In our first session, we discussed preflop play. In the second session, I brought up specific hands that I ran into that had given me some trouble. In the final session, I didn't really have much I wanted to talk about, so I let him decide what we would talk about. It ended up being a discussion of a few hands, talking about what to work on while playing and studying, and learning how to use some analysis software. Overall, I was happy with the coaching, and was able to learn things in all three sessions.
Leader understands the game very well, and due to the volume of hands he's played, he can recognize situations and think through them really quickly. While a few of the concepts we discussed seemed obvious to me at first, I thought about them a bit more and realized that I wasn't fully implementing those things into my game. So I gained a higher level of appreciation for everything we talked about, even the things I've known about for a while. Of course, I learned a good amount of fresh new ideas that I've been able to immediately use at the tables. I want to point out SuckoutKing's comment above and vouch for that; he is really good at taking complicated or tough ideas and breaking them down so that they seem natural.
One thing I want to mention is that it would be ideal if you are an online limit player who has had some experience. Leader says in his own listing that he understands and teaches two main things: expected value calculation and large database analysis. I have very little online experience, so I wasn't able to utilize his strength in database study. I still got a lot out of the hours I had with him, but I imagine that I'd have gotten even more out of it had I played more online limit before getting his coaching.
I definitely recommend him if you're looking to get better at Limit Hold'Em, and I very highly recommend him if you're a struggling online player who's played some hands already.
Re: Mathematics Based Limit Hold'em Coaching from Leader
This recommendation is long overdue since I've already had about 7 sessions with Mark. I have to say that my game may finally be on the winning side. He helped me identify the leaks that brought me over to the positive side. He also gave me some strategies on how to 3bet more effectively. Also, the tools he exposed me too that I can now use to analyze my own game is invaluable.
I recommend Mark to anyone who is wanting to improve their game.
Re: Mathematics Based Limit Hold'em Coaching from Leader
I have been playing poker in a part time basis for the last 3 years. After some time away from the tables I was struggling with the game and contacted Mark for the complete game review. He clearly spotted my leaks and guided me towards improving my game. Moreover I am now able to analyze my game by myself and correct any other weak areas. His advice has proved to be excellent and I plan to continue my poker education with him.
I would absolutely recommend Leader to any LHE player.
Re: Mathematics Based Limit Hold'em Coaching from Leader
Had two sessions with Mark (Leader) and they were good. You will get som value for your bucks and he will teach you as much or more as the more expensive coaches about LHE. He is also very friendly and a easygoing guy that cares for you getting some value out of your sessions.
He is a mathoriented coach which means he will be able to explain to you why certain lines or plays is superior to another.
So if you feel you need some lhe-coaching to be able to win at a decent rate at LHE it might be worth trying Mark out and see for yourself. He has made alot of good posts on 2+2, so by searching for them you will also see that he has a good thoughtprocess around LHE.
