I bought the advanced tactics video series a couple of weeks ago to improve my 6max game. I've been winning very decently at FR and am a marginal winner at 6max, and here is my review after playing almost 30k hands 6max :

Most concepts that are discussed in the series aren't explained as well as I had hoped. The arguments for taking a line are spot on most of the time, but I miss the comparison between the alternative lines. When the cbets are being discussed, the c/r and c/c line are ignored most of the time.

Same goes for playing back aggressively postflop. The only things that are being discussed are good spots to c/r, or raise cbets, but without any further theory about the range construction. Furthermore, some spots and concepts are very doubtful or even wrong in my opinion.

All in all, I think that it is worth the investment in the long run. But I do also think that you are overselling it this topic. There is no way that a breakeven 100nl reg will crush 200nl after watching your videos as you stated. I agree with what you said in the video's : a high winrate is the result of MANY things, and this series does not cover as much as you are implying.

If you're serious about working on your game, I'd definitely recommend buying the course. It will fix some leaks and make you see some profitable lines.

It's true that there is a forum where you can ask for assistance if you have any follow-up questions. However, I just have way too many questions, and answering these will take a lot of time and hard work. But that is not what is going to boost my winrate the most atm.

I improved a lot in certain spots, which is very noticeable after 30k hands. But I also have developed new leaks, which I have to plug first before moving forward. All in all, the serie has done good things for my game, but I'm also suffering from leaks I didn't have before.

Up to this point, I haven't seen my winrate increase, but I'm sure that will turn around in the long run.

I just wanted to say that after private coaching and buying Ryans "from the blinds" series my game became very good.
I have developed as a player and feel extremly confident regarding my overall game. Ryan made me realize that poker is not black&white, it`s not a system, it`s about using every edge and make the most +Ev decisions and outplaying opponents. I also started making a couple of strange -Ev decisions/plays against fish, with the purpose of gaining future +Ev when he percieves me to be bad in certain situations. He is a extremly good poker player, and i recommend his services to all who loves the game and want to be the best (like me) Thanks!

someone is trying to scam people through your series

Thanks Sparkyyy. I can't believe people are dumb enough to try this. Over the last couple hours I was able to identify the pirate and to get his payment account frozen.

I am also having them investigate from whom payments were accepted (who tried to buy my pirated videos) and are also having their accounts seized and funds frozen pending my full legal action against these parties.

My next step is to contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center – an arm of the FBI, to file ligation against all parties involved.

I promise to make anyone stealing from me (selling or buying), one of their biggest regrets in life.

Update: This guy didn't actually have my videos and was just trying to scam people.

Which was likely since most of these piracy postings are scams. They show a fake screen shot and then rely on peoples stupidity to send them $ to these guys and end up getting nothing in return.

And even if someone actually has the videos to resell, the whole fundamental problem w this illegal reselling business, is that your business model depends on giving out your payment info to strangers. So I simply have my assistants contact the pirate, obtain their PayPal, moneybookers, web money, poker stars, etc and then I own them and I own whomever sent them payments.

Or if I need to, I can obtain a copy of them myself and find out instantly where they came from.

All of those payment processors are very accommodating about freezing the accounts and seizing the funds of those who try to illegally sell (OR BUY) my videos illegally.

I've also been talking to my uncle, who happens to work closely with the Dept. of Homeland Security about getting participating parties added to the Department of Homeland Security Anti-Terrorism No Fly List. Maybe that's a bit over the top, or not a proportional response, but I don't really care. Piracy and theft really pushes a button for me and brings out my most vicious and vengeful response possible.

Thanks for the update Mike. And I'm sure if you do choose to put in the hard work and to use the forum it will greatly pay off for you in the long run.

I really hope that you decide to take the time to read the wealth of knowledge already in the forum, and (even though it's more work for me) I really hope that you take the time to ask any and all new questions that you may still have.

Even if someone gets the courses, that's only part of it, to get the full benefit of the courses you have to access to the private forums to be able to ask questions and talk to other members as well as yourself
