Re: Magic Ball Rack

I love the Magic Rack! It makes things easier, its really great on bar boxes that are not in the greatest shape.

Re: Magic Ball Rack

I just got back into playing pool again recently and last night was the first time I've ever seen anyone using this thing. Two pretty good players got to the semi's in a match and before it started they both started discussing the terrible spot on the table. So one of them suggested he gets his magic rack and they both agreed. Pretty cool little device I guess. Although, the first break I witnessed with them using it, one of the balls slowly rolled up to the magic rack and then rolled away since it didn't have the momentum. That probably barely ever happens though.

I have never used this rack, but I don't think that this is true. The only time that the cueballs path will not be changed is when you are shooting perpendicular to the edge. All other angles I am almost positive will be slightly deflected, up to two times. Even if you can not see the roll off, it is there. With pool really coming down to fractions of degrees this should not be overlooked.

When Alex Pag. faced Shane van Boening at the end of december they were using this rack and like you said would leave it on the table for a few shots every once in a while. In fact Viffer was announcing some parts of that match. SVB won, 100 to 85(or eighty something).

As a slow racker I want a magic ball rack soooo bad. I mean if all balls aren't touching what is the point? The precision is well worth the price and this is one of the best things for pool in a long time, imo.
