Mother****er! I want to watch the Williams match but the BBC red button appears to be ****ed, showing the other match on two options.

I had a similar problem yesterday.

"To watch the rest of the match, press the red button on your remote control"

I tried that and my telly switched itself off.

They're like that in pool as well. All the phillipinos seem to have flair and different cue actions, whereas all the Chinese Taipei players are mechanical and play like robots.

Re: **** 2012 World Championship LC Thread ****

This is the most open championship I've ever seen. Really shows the awesome strength and depth in the game right now. I haven't seen anyone play where I thought yeah they've got no shot at winning this. Hugely impresses by David Gilbert.

Ronnie won. Good to see. However, he won't reach 7. He should get to 5 though. Hendry retired, about time too. It must be hard to go from being The Man to being an Also Ran.

Lol, is this the same also ran who had a 147 and knocked out (read humiliated) the defending champion?

I'm guessing Hendry has a sweet deal in the far east which is worth more than he can win playing.

We are talking about Stephen Hendry's standards. He agrees with me (or I with him w/e) that is why he retired.

His career as it stands is of a mediocre pro not that of the high flyer he once was. Don't get carried away by the 147, Stephen didn't. He played it down in his retirement speech.

Lol at Banzai not understanding a winner's pyschology.

Re: **** 2012 World Championship LC Thread ****

Hendry (and Davis for that matter) were the best because of how close their B game (and C, D and E game for that matter) were to their A game.

Hendry is still World Class when his A game is in shape, but his B game now resembles a medicore tour journeyman, and to a player whose consistency and ability to always bring their best to the table was a true hallmark the level of frustration must be mind boggling.

IMO this is also testimony to the fact that Davis has a surprisingly strong case to be considered the true all time best, as his ability to keep going for so long and not snap like Hendry is perhaps even more astonishing than 7 world titles.
