This episode redeemed the season IMO. "There were no dowels!" had me ROFL. I loved they carried on the Buckle Your Shoe bit. And Vernon climaxing when he gets the text from the dominatrix was lol.

Not a great episode for Edgar but I like the "trying too hard"-ness of his character. I know a lot of people IRL who act similar.

Looked up some pictures of her, she looks a lot better than I had initially thought. I can kind of see the Sandra Bullock thing now.

She's quite a bit sexier then she is hot, but she is certainly pretty damn hot.

Was last week the finale or what night is it on. I always watch it on demand and I thought it was usually up by today.

Episode didn't really work for me, first one of the series. Gretchen just being a lump week in and week out just isn't really conducive to telling an interesting story.

Is Edgar moving in with that blonde chick a way of writing him off the show???? ONE TIME

It was ok, had its moments. I take it there's one more ep left in season 2.

It depends on what story you are looking for them to tell. The season is about Gretchen having this severe, untalked about disease, and Jimmy trying to figure out how to cope with this thing that everyone thinks one can "just get over." Including Jimmy himself. He's been taught that depression is something you can just buck up against and expects Gretchen to just snap out of it by helping her have a fun day or sending a parade of her friends at her. He finally starts to get it right at the end of this episode, and it's heartbreaking to see Gretchen come to the realization that she really isn't alone.

A 30 minute comedy that can make me well up with tears has to be telling a story correctly somewherw.

Speaking of the parade of friends scene, Sam dropping the name of all the people he knows with depression only to learn they all committed suicide , even Boner, is ****ing fantastic.

lol, yeah nobody in our culture ever talks about depression. Cmon, master. They talk and talk and talk about it, good God. Everybody and their kids and pets are on SSRIs. What planet have you been living on.

Congrats on turning a funny show that I look forward to every week into Mork and Mindy season 2.

Louie has been able to pull this type of thing off, but YTW is no Louie.

Just because it's tackling a serious subject doesn't mean it isn't funny. In addition to the Sam scene, Lindsay ' s apology tour including the aggressive throwing of the Frisbee into the tree, Jimmy dismissing the neighbor kid's parental issues, Jimmy dropping "new phone, who dis?"

There were some genuinely great moments in this episode.
