it's only a matter of time before another star trek series comes out. the movies are massively popular. they need to hurry up though, a lot of the original fans are gonna die from old age soon

I can't really see them doing a series in the original universe unless the new trek sequels start failing massively at the box office, so that Worf series rumour makes no sense at all to me.

Was Parallels the episode where Worf is traveling through other realities ? If so it was a good one.
Commander,
we're getting 10,000 hails

The ST universe has so much potential. Would love to see a darker version of ST if they make a new show. Not your usual " explore new planets " stuff that has already been milked.

DS9's last few seasons were just great and a lot more conflict oriented and serialized.

Any new series would need to follow that example. Would be great to see a series where the Federation is at war for the entire run.

Something like " Yesterday's Enterprise " but an entire series like it , and of course , no children on board the starships so we don't end up with any Wesley Crusher type characters

I wouldn't mind a series based in the Academy. From both the professors and students perspective...I don't know. I agree they need to do it soon as the die hard fans are dying off.

Star Trek should switch from fiction to non-fiction...

Create products and websites that teach science, math, leadership, and other subjects.

Have interactive web based or mobile programs that have Star Trek outfitted teachers doing lectures, giving quizzes, and so on. Graduates get Starfleet Academy diplomas, certificates, and other stuff.

All kinds of courses can be taught ala Khan Academy.

Courses can be made based on popular characters:

Logic (Mr. Spock)

Empathy (Deana Troi)

Programming (Commander Data)

Engineering stuff (Scotty)

Women in business leadership (Janeway)

Pre-med (Dr. McCoy)

...and so on...

I liked Odo and Quark's interactions and didn't find Kira annoying but the Odo-Kira relationship was lame.

Best character in DS 9 was Garak. Someone explains the "Boy who cried wolf" lesson to him and tells him the lesson is "Never tell a lie"

Garak replies "Or, never tell the same lie twice."

DS9's secondary characters were more interesting than their primarily ones. Probably some of the more interesting secondary characters in Sci Fi TV.

You should read the Trek book "A Stitch in Time"

It's the back story of Garak's life, written by Andrew Robinson (the actor who played Garak)

Best Trek book I've read.

Apologies if I've posted this before itt
