'sup, any X Factor fans watching this season of the UK version?
The judges for this season are Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa and finally Nicole Scherzinger replacing Kelly Rowland.
First episode premiered yesterday and I must say that it was quite a good one. It had all the right ingredients: a top 5 of all time audition, the best original song ever sung in the audition phase, the most controversial audition ever, a "don't judge a book by its cover" shocker audition, the typical funny-bad auditions, hilariously bad judging and most important of all - no sob stories.
I'm watching it and I must say that this year it is going to be quite intense judging by the quality of first several contenders.
I mean, that "At last" performance just blow my mind completly and I just can't stop listen it on and on and on. If you close your eyes you can actually feel like it is his own.
Didn't remember the names but really really good contenders for now.
Only one episode this (last) weekend? I'm not in the UK so I don't watch it live.
That At Last guy is one of the absolute top talents to emerge from all of these talent and singing competitions ever, wow. Even makes me kinda suspicious a bit, given that there's no tweaking to be done on his voice at all (at least to my ear; I've sang in choirs a little and I rarely get to that point where I feel my voice is at its best) and he insinuates he doesn't sing that much.
The girl singing an original for her late granpa is very good, too, but a bit overhyped maybe.
As for the rest, some pretty good so far but none that've made a big impression on me.
LOL @ this Asian guy. He can't be real, right? A pretty good singer but he probably won't make it to the judges' houses (but if he will they'd better put him in Tulisha's team ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-HBzI_5Sos
The Asian guy definitely won't make it to the judges' houses. He will at most make it past the first round of bootcamp and only on account of his charm in that case - no more than that :P
Im watching. Liking it so far. My fav. was the "fairy" chick, who sang "Cry baby". But I might be biased because this is one of my favorite song of all time.
