BUMP because I finally watched that show and people who still havent need to be reminded that it exists.
One of my favorite things about it, that I didnt see mentioned here: there are a lots of parallel between the park and the show itself. Most park guests are portrayed as horrible humans mostly drawn by sex and violence, also selling points for shows like Westworld. There's a meta thing going on on that theme that culminates and becomes really obvious in Ford's speech in the end. And it's just amazing how form and content merge and how they're mixed with dozens of other themes in a mindblowing puzzle of a story. I dont remember ever finishing a series and having so much to unpack.
Looking forward to the next season, though I'm slightly afraid that they might ruin it if they try expanding the universe too much.
Apparently they have a broad brush outline for the next like 6 seasons and thats part of why they had a long break in production halfway through, so they could sort that out.
Season 1 of Humans was great as well haven't watched any of season 2 yet. I'd watch Westworld if you can only watch one but if you're fascinated by AI and how close some of this stuff is to becoming a reality, as I am, there's no reason to not watch both of you have time. Will definitely watch s2 of Humans at some point.
