All,

Oh, one more thing about the ep. I totally thought they were going to surprise us and have Daryl say Negan. But then he was badass Daryl and said Daryl!

Its character development obviously. Wouldn't have had the same effect had they not dedicated 30 minutes to him being delivered dogfood sandwiches.

Anyone know if they shoot multiple episodes at once? Seems odd to me they so often have these standalone episodes that in an ordinary show would take up 1/3rd of the run time of an episode.

Feels contrived. Like they are trying to shoot episodes with a fraction of the cast to save money and time.

Buckets clearly made the Zombies easier to control / steer to a place kinda like pet control lasso but with zombies they go like grrrrr I can't see so nothing's there !11 They kinda wanted them to be chained up in some gauntlet thingy for some reason.

Touch,

I think it is one, maybe two reasons:

1) fear/intimidation - a reminder that if you don't submit to negan's will, you won't just be killled. You'll be a zombie on a spike forever.

2) maybe they serve a defensive purpose as well, like a zombie gauntlet/barrier/moat to get through?

When I was on it last season, it appeared that they did not film more than one episode at once, but it's not like I was there all season. I also did Episodes 1, 8, and 9, which were huge (quarry/Pied Piper march and Alexandria invasion/walker battle of the century), so I'm sure those took up tons of resources.

I've enjoyed the character development the last couple episodes (King Ezekiel and Dwight). It takes a while to really get there, but I suppose the first half of each episode does set it all up. Thought seeing Dwight as an actual human being, even though he's still an awful person was good stuff.

Confused. Did we see his living arrangements? Or are you talking about the place he intended for Daryl (as I understood it, at least)?

Could be - that would make more sense than Don Negan living in something tantamount to my tiny studio apartment while I was a broke law student.

Just got around to watching it. ****ing terrible again. Strongly considering quitting the show. Been on a downward slide since end series 5 ish but this season is really breaking new ground in unwatchability.

I thought he was going to say Negan and Negan was going to say not good enough, you don't mean it.

I did correctly call earlier that they had allowed Daryl to escape.

Pretty sure it was training.

Forget the walkers on the fence, what the **** was the photo Daryl got given? They did such a wide shot of it I have no idea what it was.

I think that was supposed to be Daryl's living space if he decided he was ready to play ball. Negan really likes Daryl, and he's willing to let him skip a whole bunch of steps in the promotion ladder.

a guy walking around with a tiger is actually more believable than a guy like Dwight having a wife that looks like that

Is Negan the worst acted character on a show full of characters I don't gaf about? Or is it just me?

I mean who the **** walks around talking like this idiot. It's awful

Pretty much. Not watching this weeks ep btw. Read a synopsis and I'm done with this show. Might stay subbed to this thread and rejoin in the unlikely event it improves.

All,

Thank goodness that was an extended episode, would not have wanted to rush all that.

I don't understand why they couldn't hole up in Alexandria with all those weapons and fight 'em off. All because they have Daryl, you give up everything damn weapon? that's just stupid.

Negan is the stupidest, most boring character in the history of television. And the only purpose he serves is to have an evil bastard to kill.

This episode was the cherry on top of a terrible season so far. Like what is happening? Seriously, what's the long game? I can't deal with the passiveness. I'm holding for some sort of michone rage/carol lurking in the woods/Darryl doing some sort of sabotage from the inside.

I have a feeling this theme will continue till like the last 15 mins in the season finale. Not sure I can keep watching till that happens though.
