Not worth finishing. Not even worth watching the season finale.

Went back and read the finale comments. I'm accepting the fact I only watched the first 18 minutes of this season premiere and will just wait for next season.

honeslty, S2 was < S3, but s2 final 2 episodes where a **** ton better then s3s final 2

as a whole, I would agree that s3 was better overall. first 4 episodes of s3 were not bad, they were fairly decent. but as the season wen ton, it just captured into aids in a jar

This is pretty accurate. Though I couldn't find fault with slightly lower scores in any area.

I'd agree with those scores too. Maybe add in a 4/10 for the s1 finale, 6/10 for the s2 finale, and 1/10 for the s3 finale.

I'd give the pilot at least a 9/10 though.

4/10 seems very generous. I thought this was by far the worst season.

As bad it was at times there were still entertaining aspects unlike season 2 which needlessly spent half the season doing absolutely nothing looking for Sophia.

You might be right i can't really remember much of 2. I remember enjoying a few scenes, the bar showdown, the barn scene with the Sophia reveal. Decent chance I was just less disenchanted with the show during season 2.

My highlight of S2 was the cut wrists episode. They did it in a stark unemotional syle, but never returned to the subplot.

S2 had Shane and had 2 fantastic episodes. S3 plot line had promise but never gave anything.... Really not sure which was worst. I think if you would add all the good moments of S2 and all the good moments of S3 the S2 reel would be longer.

Let's not forget that S2 had the AIDSfest that was the search for the missing girl, and the unintentionally hilarious "There's a zombie down the well, let's dangle the asian kid down there on a rope and contrive to almost drop him!" subplot

Yeah, the second season had more over the top ******ed scenes like that, look-out Dale, zombie ripping Dale's guts out, DEER GOD, T-Dog cutting himself, etc.

Started watching season 1 about 10 days ago, just finished with the finale of season 3.

I went from not being able to wait to start another episode to taking a few days to finish these last few. I don't have all these complex viewpoints of the show, i'll just give my character power rankings and where i think they messed up/did good.

1. Carl - I went from wanting him to die soooooo badly in the first 2 seasons to liking him a ton in season 3. I can see him leading this group by season 5.

2. Daryl - Daryl was my #1 through the first 2 seasons. (Since Shane died so im not putting him in my power rankings) Hope he doesn't lose his edge now that he knows Merle is dead.

3. Rick - Only thing that saves Rick from being lower is that he's the star of the show. I liked when him and the Gov were talking about in reference to the Devil said "Oh I see him alright" thought that was pretty bad ass.

Liked:
- Carl's development, like I said. He has what it takes to be the leader of this group.
- Shane. Man, why the **** did they have to kill off the best, BY FAR best character? They shouldn't have had him re animate so they could bring him back in later seasons saying he survived the stabbing.

Disliked:
- Really don't feel like writing a ton of stuff, although there is a ton I do not like. I feel like Lori/Andrea needed to go, and did. You simply have to keep one of Shane/Merle alive. Preferably Shane. That character had it all. He would have the Gov dead by now.

5 days ago I asked my gf what the **** I was going to do when I was done watching s3 because I was so into it...now I just hope the show can be saved. I cannot ****ing believe they ended it not only with no real "war", but also adding 30 meaningless characters into the mix, I MEAN MY ****ING GAWD WTF R U DOING????????????????

Tyrese might b cool though.

S1>>S2>>>>>>>S3

Agree with the S3 is better than S2 sentiment. Have to say though S01 had some decent moments until that abortion of a finale happened. Seriously I'm going to watch it again that was so strange with the CDC (or whatever acronym) stuff. With a slightly more charismatic gov'nor S3 could have been pretty good, but the addition of Cutty made up for the Woodbury suckiness. However much this show drops the ball I'm going to keep watching cause the general premise is so **** awesome...

Shane snapped though, dude turned into a massive loser at end of S2. but for the rest of the season, he made the most sense.

cmon guys, s2 only had the final 2 eps, everything else was trash(besides dayle dying)

A) the ****ty writers are purposely leaving dumb things like zombie bus driver unanswered in order to provide cool LOST style mysteries for the viewers to obsess over. They somehow convinced themselves that this masked bus driver minutiae is interesting.
B) the ****ty writers accidentally leave dumb loose ends like that open because they are ****ty writers and don't know what they are doing. They will return to it with an offhand remark in S4 and pretend it was a planned plot point all along.

I'm torn.

Shane was a disaster at the end of season 1, you know, when he tried to rape Lori at the CDC.
