So if I understand it correctly the guy who directed the Morgan episode this season is becoming the new showrunner? If he keeps that level up this show might become barely watchable.

No, the guy who wrote the Clear episode is the new Showrunner, not the director.

As long as he doesn't re-write anything, he should be fine.

The episodes he wrote are:

Save the Last One
Pretty Much Dead Already
18 Miles Out
Hounded
Clear
This Sorrowful Life

It doesn't bother me (hardly the only TV show to do this badly) but these guys are just incredible. That one episode where they're taking out a ton of zombies in the prison courtyard was so over the top it was comedy. Running, against moving targets, didn't matter who or what weapon or at what range. The group was something like 29/30 headshots in that scene.

Hopefully he knows enough to bring Morgan back full time.

But I don't even think he could save it. In the prison, bunch of old people to take care of, Gov still on the loose. There is no way next season isn't just horrible and the worst season to date.

I have a little sliver of hope due to new show runner, but deep down inside I know a show runner can't fix this. It needs all new writers.

I hope the new showrunner switches it up and has the Governor and a couple of other characters killed off in the first episode of the new season. That would be a mission statement.

Seriously hoping that the season 4 opener is again 6 months later or something. The prison is flourishing, everyone is happy and then the Governor rides in on a tank and 95% of characters die and they go back on the road.

I'd be amazed if the majority of the new influx of old people aren't wiped out in s04e01

Or they could spend half a season lamenting too many mouths to feed, with dramatic facial expressions. or maybe they win another war with 1 flash bang, an alarm, and some wild firing w/o ever hitting anything, and then go back to lamenting.

this thread is lol, people have been complaining so long that it's now just fashionable to continue complaining. The last half of this season has been quite a bit better than everything since the very beginning of the show

When they closed that door on us with the battle between her and milton i thought NO CHANCE she dies and was really disapointed. I mean she rips limbs right off and melees 3 to the death.. The damage she can do with a small piece of metal is unlimited. And she obviously went full ****** engaging in a lenghty conversation with a dude dying while being shackled. Not the best time to slack from work , Kkay

That said, i was pleasantly surprised!

Yea, she had one hand free armed with a pair of pliers. She should have had no problem defending herself.

And as others have said, Carl did nothing wrong. They explicitly told the kid to drop the gun, not walk towards me while still holding the gun. If the intent was to have Carl look like a bad guy, then it was a really badly shot scene.

Last comment by Lucas indicated Greedo had always shot first, you just couldn't hear it because Han fired at the same time.

Even tho the show had some flaws and many characters were annoying I absolutely loved it for the first two seasons. First half of S3 felt ok, but I can't see what could possibly be said good about the second half of it. Even Andrea's death sucked and that tells a lot.
